Ellizabeth's Wolf - Lora Leigh

It's no secret that I love Lora Leigh's Breed books - Elizabeth's Wolf was no different. In fact, I think it might be one of my favorite entries in the series.

Here's a blurb (from Lora's website):

She brought him back from death and made him live again.

Dash thought himself alone, a soldier, a fighting machine and no more.

Elizabeth made him realize he was a man.

Danger surrounds the woman his soul marked as his mate, death and blood and a treachery that goes beyond even his worst nightmares. But he will protect her and what she claims as her own. He was created to kill, trained to do it efficiently, and only a man bound to her, heart and soul, will have the strength to save Elizabeth and her prized possession.

He is a lone wolf. A man alone. No pack, no family, no one to call his own until one single, innocent letter awoke Elizabeth’s wolf.

What did I love about it? I think it's what I love about all of the Breed books I've read--the sheer emotional punch, the intensity of the relationship between the hero and heroine.

I have to mention Dash - he's a great hero. Deeply protective, honorable, and endearing in his determination to go it alone rather than put others in the line of fire.

The heat between Elizabeth and Dash is through the roof, so we warned - you might need to keep a fire extinguisher handy. *g*

This is a really great book. It's full of heart, passion and rock-solid love. Can't ask for much more than that. :-)

You can read an excerpt on Lora's website.

Have you read the Breed series? Thoughts?

It was Lora Leigh's Breed series that led me to the Psy-Changling series. I bought the Magical Cat's for the Breed story and fell in love with Nalini's story then had to go out and order the rest of the books

I love these books! The series began in Ellora's Cave, and what an introduction to Erotic Romance, super HOT! Anywho, I love (and have) all her books, Elizabeth's Wolf is great; but I can't wait until Cassie's story.

Hi Nalini, yes EW is a good one. But Lora Leigh is also best taken in smaller doses - reading more than one in a row may be dangerous to your health! It's just hard to do when she writes so fast.

This one also became an instant favroite of mine, the way Lora Leigh start the story, a corrospondence between a man and a child....I was already reaching for tissues!

I have all of her books in this series but I'm as far as Soul Deep, it means I have much Breed pleasure to look forward to LOL

I started the series with Megan's Mate (which totally hooked me on the Breeds) however I have not gone back to read the ones before that (which is very unlike me). With all these great recommendations, it looks like I'm going to have to collect the start of the series (especially Elizabeth's Wolf) for my TBR pile!

So far, the short story, The Breed Next Door, and Mercury's War are my two favorites. I love how sure Mercury is that Ria is his mate even when no one else is.

I luv the Breeds. Each and every one of them. I'd have to say my favorite was Callan's story, though, the very first one at Ellora's Cave. He introduced me to the Breeds, and, man, does the lion man know how to say Hi!

I am turning stalker-ish! I said to myself.."no more going to Nalini Singh's website" no more of that! coz I have things to do and a family to nurture... but here I am!

Anyway I am loving that you recommend books. I keep thinking.. "since I love her books.. then she has good taste so I am going to love what she recommends." YOu should see my amazon wish list!

After finishing school in June I am so going to indulge. I had been on a romance novels hiatus for about 2-3 years and I am back with a bang. There are so many books I want to read, but since I have to spend money to get my books... I end up buying romance first (prior to that I lived in England and satisfied my book need by way of libraries)

Anyway thanks for the recs. I plan to check out a good few.

Haven't read EW (YET!), but I adore all the Breeds I have read, the most recent was of course Coyote's Mate, now anxiously waiting for the next one, and Jonah's story and Cassie's, and....

I have read several of her short stories from the Breed series but I haven't read any of the full novels...yet. I have them on my list, but unfortunately my library doesn't carry all of them. Within the "Breed" series, there is the Wolf breed series and the cat breeds. Do they have to be read in order? What book would you suggest reading first?!?

I love the Breed series. I think the Leigh's original set of ebooks is my favorite and this one was great. Dash is fab.

Love love love Elizabeth's Wolf! It has the best line ever in it. Dash can knot me anytime. Rowr. EW and Dawn's Awakening are my favorite Breed stories so far.

Una, the correct reading order is on Lora's wesite. Happy reading!

Una, as Courtney said, you can find the correct order on Lora's website. However, I read the books completely out of order - beginning with the first mass market release "Megan's Mark" - and had no problems picking up the story.

If you click the Lora Leigh tab on the bottom of the post, you'll see my posts on MM.

Mrembo, welcome back *grin* If you click the Good Books tag on the bottom of the post, you'll see some other recs & you'll also be able to read other readers comments on the books.

Megan's... Mark, Mark, Mark! I hate it when I typo. lol. Guess I had "mate" on the brain, since like others, the last Breed book I read was Coyote's Mate.

I'm definitely going to have to pick up the earlier ones now!

I love Lora Leigh's breed series, and anything else she writes. I picked up Megan's Mark and had read that, Harmony's Way and Tanner's Scheme before I went back and read all the earlier e-books. You don't have to read them but it's nice to see them younger and get the back story about what makes them tick. Lora Leigh amazes me with the number of books she produces in a year and the quality of the books. The stories are what grab me and drag me in with all her series, especially the breeds and SEALs/Ops series.

I've been reading her Breeds series since she was just with Ellora's Cave - they're awesome! They're the type of books that I can read over and over, and they just get better each time.

I love her Breed serie! These books started me reading paranormal romance again. I am waiting very impatiently for Jonas Wyatt's story. :)

I love Lora Leigh's Breed series too. And my favorite book so far is Elizabeth's Wolf. Although I admit I would love to read a story that focuses on Simon and his ladies. It would be interesting to find out how Simon, Dash, and company met.

Thanks for the recommendation Nalini, I've been downloading the wolf breeds from ellora's cave. I just wish that other sites allow downloadable and PRINTABLE pdfs. Since I struggle reading stuff on my laptop. I'd be buying more online books if that was the case!!!

Anyway, they're fabulous - Elizabeth's wolf is my favorite so far.

I wouldn't have picked Lora Leigh's books myself since I tried a few of her other stuff and they were a bit too kinky for my preference.

But the Breeds are just PERFECT! :)

I love the Breeds and my favorite book is Mercury's War.

Mercury+Ria and Noble+Haley are wonderful couples.
