Weekend & Weeding

Hope you're all having a good weekend!

I'm reading over Visions of Heat and finding mysterious typos that somehow escaped all my other reads. How does that happen?

Meanwhile I have the thrice-yearly communal weeding to look forward to on Sunday morning. I don't know why this apartment-dwellers bonding event must happen at a very early hour on a Sunday, but there you go. I shall weed my heart out.

What's everyone else up to?

And Lord of the Rings fans, check this out - a LOTR musical!

Communal weeding! I love it! Sounds so exotic. :) OTOH, in Germany, for those who lived on base (we did not), they had monthly community yard duty. Everyone had to go outside and rake leaves, pick up trash, etc. I was so glad to live in a German village. :)

Well... today I took the Extra Class Amateur Radio Test. My hubby and I went to the Carson Valley Inn and had a great breakfast. Oh and by the way I PASSED. (big smile)

Oh... and maybe your next man will meet his lovely significant other... at the communal weeding. LOL

I plan to spend the week-end with a nice book or several. No communal weeding for me!

Lynn - nope, not exotic. Weeds are just weedy (sorry, couldn't resist)! You lived in Germany? Do you speak any German?

Congratulations, Cynthia! I saw that post you did on your blog about amateur radio operators helping out after the hurricane. What an awesome thing to be involved in.

And I can just imagine the romantic conversation over the weeds:

Her: Ouch, a thorn in my finger.
Manly man: Here, use my gloves. I don't need them. My skin is hard as nails.
Her: Ooooh, you're so sweet....

Olga - color me jealous. I have so many books to read that I haven't gotten to yet. Hope you enjoyed! :)

Thanks for the LOTR musical link! There's only one problem (well actually two)...There's no Sean Bean or Viggo Mortensen in the musical!

*g* Josie. I saw National Treasure the other day - did you know Mr B was in that? It was a very nice surprise for me!
