NOTEBOOK OFFER

My publisher has let me know that if you buy a copy of Allegiance of Honor at the Penguin Random House booth (1514), they will also give you a copy of the 10th anniversary notebook as a Comic Con special! Number of notebooks is limited, so this will be until stocks last. However, after they run out of notebooks, you get to pick a free paperback book from their selection (again, as long as stocks last).

Allegiance of Honor is out!

ALLEGIANCE OF HONOR is  now officially out in the US & Canada in all formats: ebook, print, audio.

It's out in print in NZ & Australia (the ebook is linked to the UK release). 

The UK & international edition will release in print & ebook as soon as it turns the 16th in the UK.

BUT, Berkley has sent me some to give away, yay!! I'm currently going over the copy edited manuscript of the next Rock Kiss book. Hoping to finalize it this week.

I've also chosen a cover photograph. It was shot just for this book and is gorgeous. I can't wait to share the cover with you once it's done.

No firm release date yet, but I'm hoping for July sometime. :)

It's been a busy time with Allegiance of Honor written, edited, proofed, followed by the same with Wild Embrace, then edits for Abe's book, and handing in Archangel's Heart. I'm excited about all the releases coming this year!

I emailed Ashwini this Lolcat last night after sending ARCHANGEL'S HEART to my agent. Yes, it's finished!! (Much intrigue is afoot in this book!)

Now my editor will read it and get back to me with any notes. It's currently 476 manuscript pages, 125,831 words.

Giraffe Manor

A reader on Facebook shared the following video and commented that it reminded her of Andromeda's breakfast story - it was actually a photograph from this place - Giraffe Manor - that inspired me to write that scene. :-)

Also, I know everyone's waiting to hear about the next Guild Hunter book. Soon, I promise. It's just simple logistics holding things up - I've had back to back copy edits and proofs this month because ALLEGIANCE OF HONOR and WILD EMBRACE are coming out so close together. Soon as I finalize the GH proposal and my editor okays it, I'll share the deets. :-)

Glimpse of Allegiance of Honor

When I first started writing Allegiance of Honor, I thought it would be a fun book filled with updates on the main characters (and a few others). I forgot how nothing in this world ever stands still. So what I ended up writing was a book that updates us on the characters but also moves the plot forward significantly - including a humdinger of a curve ball no one saw coming.

Now that I've teased you unmercifully, here's a glimpse of one of the fun catchup moments in the book. Hope you love it!

Excerpt from ALLEGIANCE OF HONOR

Out June 14, 2016

Lucas had had to chase Naya around the aerie at bedtime last night—her walk might still be a little shaky, but she was a rocket when it came to crawling. Dressed only in a diaper, she’d laughed uproariously and said a loud, firm “No” each time Lucas caught her and put her in her crib.

After which she’d clamber out—she’d figured out how to escape a month earlier—and the game would begin again. 

Of course, since Lucas was a cat, he’d been having just as much fun as their daughter. Sascha, meanwhile, had sat in the living room with a cup of hot chocolate and just indulged in the sight of her mate playing with their cub.

She’d had to pretend to be stern when Naya ran over and pleaded her case with loud sounds and wild gesticulations of her hands. “No, Naya,” she’d said, biting her tongue in an effort not to laugh. “It’s time for bed. Go with Papa.”

At which point, Naya had growled at her, eyes sparkling with mischief.

And Sascha had cracked, laughing so hard she’d had to put down her hot chocolate before she spilled it. Lucas had shaken his head as Naya plopped down on her diaper-covered butt and joined in, clapping her hands at having made her mommy laugh. 

“No discipline.” Lucas had mock-growled at her before picking up their misbehaving baby. “And you”—a growly nuzzle that made Naya laugh harder and pat his stubbled cheek—“time for bed.”

He’d finally got her to sleep—by walking around with her pressed up against his bare chest.

Lots of good stuff coming up this year - the Shards of Hope paperback is now out and the ebook price has also dropped.

My next release will likely be Abe's book in the Rock Kiss series (no exact date yet, but I'm working hard on it!).

After that will be Allegiance of Honor, followed by Wild Embrace (featuring all new Psy-Changeling stories), then will come the next Guild Hunter novel (more info to come within the next months as I write it). 

Also of course, you'll continue to get free short stories and exclusive deleted scenes through the newsletter. The final 2015 newsletter went out a couple of days ago and it included a new Psy-Changeling story.
