This is a silly question. The cover for Visions of Heat also shows the model with animal print markings. Do the characters have those markings? I almost think that Vaughn did, but I can't really remember. (Told you it was a silly question.) Caressed by Ice is on its' way to me, and I can't wait to read it!
Gorgeous cover, Nalini! I picked up An Enchanted Season over the weekend and read Tammy and Nate's story first. I loved it! It was really fun to see their back story.
Can't wait for Clay's story.
*insert puppy eyes* When do we get another excerpt?? *end puppy eyes*
Jenny, yep, Clay's skin is exotic. It's a rich brown with an undertone of gold, and when I think of it, I always get a sense of warmth, which I think is echoed beautifully here. But the really cool thing is how the cover team ran with the golden imagery I used to describe Clay. On the high definition copy I have (too big for the blog), you can see that the color comes from the leopard - his skin isn't really skin at all, as if he's been caught in the precise moment before the leopard takes over. Blink and you'll be looking into the eyes of a hunting cat. Ooooh... I really love it!
Meljean - isn't it just?! (Not that I noticed that first or anything) ;)
And yep to everyone who asked if it's HOT. It's sizzling baby! You know it's the quiet ones you have to watch out for.
It's very different from your other covers, so far they've matched their characters imo;
StS - single colour, challenging/sizzling male. Dreamy atmos up to the Psi to take up the challenge. VtH - like looking through special goggles; all monochrom except for the heat of the fierce hunter male. CbI - cold blue, stern male with a hint of confrontation/dare.
MtP - Vibrant, colourful, suggestion of momement. No standing still to tempt, hunt or fight but a sense of energy unleashed. Could well suit it's hero.
So does the fact your name is in a bigger print show that you books are becoming more popular and your name more recognised by readers? :)
MaryK ~ the only story I've read where the were's markings showed through his skin was Elaine Corvidae's character in the 'Ghost Cats' anthol. I'm a total fan-girl of hers :)

Cool! I like the cover. :) Very impressed...gives the impression of a man whose beast it right at the surface. :)

Hot cover, Love it!!!
MaryK, no the characters don't have the markings, not in human form. On the cover, they're sort of mid-shift. :) Enjoy CBI!
very yummy cover there, nalini.
It's fantastic! :)
I think it's wonderful - love that transition.

It's a great cover but I thought Clay was darkskinned? He doesn't look that dark on this cover.
