I finished Forgotten in Death by J.D. Robb. It's a great read. If anyone is new to the series, you can read the book, but there's a lot of back story with everyone. The series starts with Naked in Death.
Now I'm reading Glory in Death which is the second book.

My favorite book this week was Kit Rocha's The Devil You Know (Mercenary Librarians #2).

I also read JD Robb's Forgotten in Death and Abigail Owen's The Demigod Complex (Brimstone Inc #1).

Got my hands on Last Guard from the library as a skip-the-line, Lucky Day e-book loan on Monday! Loved it and really enjoyed all the new stuff we learn about the PsyNet. I know this isn’t the spoiler zone, so I’ll be vague for those who may not have had a chance to read it (even if it’s not a big thing, it did stand out to me), but I’m very interested in the baby someone’s going to have that I think will have a profound effect on the Net.

Looking forward to the next book and the chaos that’s obviously going to be happening. While I’m really hoping we’ll finally get a human-Psy couple to help the Net or maybe a changeling that we’ve known a while that hasn’t gotten their book yet, I have been surprised with lots of recent books in the series, and I'm sure I’ll enjoy whatever is next regardless – I always do!

Now I have a while to wait on new books. The next major book releases I’m waiting on aren’t until middle of next month! I’ll probably dig up something to reread if I don’t find any new-to-me books to read in the interim.

I just returned Kit Rocha's "The Devil You Know" (excellent!) from my local library and picked up J.D. Robb's "Forgotten in Death" (love this series!). I'm also up to "Archangel's Viper" in my reread of the Guild Hunter series; have preordered my own copy of "Archangel's Light". Can't wait for that!

Reread Stephanie Hudson`s The Hellbeast King and can`t wait to read book two (30.09.21). I`love her books; also she loves her cliffhangers (The good thing is, she writes fast).

Just reread Archangel's Sun in anticipation of Archangel's Light next month. I can't wait!

Up next is a reread of the #3 & 4 novellas of the Murderbot Diaries so I can read the new-to-me novel, Network Effect, by Martha Wells.

I've also been slowly working my way through the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole. They are always enjoyable but some are better than others. I'll be reading #11 Dreams of a Dark Warrior next.

Finally finished The Monster Hunter Files the other day. Going to have to go looking for others in that series. Maybe start with the free ebook I downloaded a while ago.

Almost done Last Guard. Love it so far! Love all the new details on things we've only heard about previously! (Like Psy fertility contracts). Once again, Nalini has nailed the intricacies of trauma. Love how she's addressing the consequences of a society's attempts at eradicating diversity, and those it deems "defective" or less than "perfect". It's clear there is a lot of research that has gone into the last 3 Psy-Changeling Trinity books! Love it!! Hoping to finish the last 100 or so pages soon! (I think I've got another couple weeks before it's due back at the library. I'm almost certain I won't be able to renew it, as someone else will have requested it!)

Hoping to finally finish Healer of the Water Monster soon... having to take it in small bits, due to the Vietnam vet with PTSD character. Libby says I'm 80% through though, so... then I'll feel like I'm finally making some progress on my TBR list! I'm reading SOOO slowly these days! (but on the other hand, getting a lot of rock painting done to deliver to my local little free libraries.)
