Friday Book Club

Spring is in the air and flowers are everywhere, so it's only right I'm currently reading (and loving!) Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts.

I also took a mental health break a few days back *g*, and had a chance to gobble up Kindred in Death by JD Robb (awesome as always), and one of Lisa Kleypas's older titles - Where Dreams Begin - loved it! Here's a link to the Book Binge review where I first heard about this gorgeous story.

Okay, your turn! What're you reading and loving this week?

p.s. I took the rose photos this morning - not my garden, but that of someone with considerably greener fingers :) (Click on the photo for a bigger image).

Whee, I get to be first.

I finished Daughter of the Forest (Juliet Marillier) this week, and thought it was a wonderful book. I've ordered the next two in the series and I'm really looking foward to their arrival.

Right now I'm reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman. It's been on my radar for ages (possibly years by now) and I'm really enjoying it. I love the POV character's voice. I'm both delighted and worried that there are three or four more books available. Delighted to have more books, worried about fitting them into the TBR.c

I am undecided between Stray by Rachel Vincent and Eternal Lover (anthology that has Richelle Mead). I suspect Richelle's gonna win this round :)

I need to re-read "Where Dreams Begin". Its been awhile since I read it, and I remember liking it quite a bit back then.

Hi All! I'm reading A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole...so far I've found that it's a slow read...it's taking a long time for the story to pick up. Did anyone notice that about this book? I had quite enjoyed Kiss Of A Demon King though and thought that the 1st book in the series would hit the ground running.

I am currently reading "Kindred in Death" and I'm blown away. And after I finish with it I have Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Born of Night" waiting on deck.

You have been in your neighbours garden pilfering . . . er . . . photographing his roses again! Fess!

Hmmm - am just finishing off Blaze of Memory, just love all the worldbuilding and background in this one . . . and the chapter with Judd & Noor *sigh*

Beautiful Roses Nalini ;)

This week I am reading "Heart Change" by the lovely Robin D Owens I have read all of Robins books to date, and just adore her Celta series. Such imagination! Before that was Blaze of Memory which I could NOT put down. Then up next will be Tempted by PC + Kristin Cast.

I just finished 'An Enchanted season' (Thank you, Nalini!) and I loved it. What else to say? Oh, yes: The first sentence in 'Beat of temptation'. I couldn't have imagined something (or someone) this evil.

Right now I'm reading Breath of Fire by Tammy Kane. It's very different from any other dragon story I've ever read, which is wonderful. I spent a little time at the beginning in confusion, but that's over with and I'm now caught in her world-building.

Nalini those are gorgeous pictures. Love the flowers.

And speaking of flowers, after reading Bed of Roses, I read It Happened One Night by Lisa Dale. Finished it actually. This book also had a heroine who worked with flowers. *g* I loved this book. Friends to lovers. Loved the writing, secondary characters & the characterization in this book.

Started and I'm still reading two books this week, Blaze of Memory (in print), enjoying it, yes.:) And, Almost Like Being in Love by Steve Kluger, (ebook) an M/M novel that I'm also enjoying thoroughly.

Just finished 3 books - Wild Wolf by Whiddon, Kindred in Death by Robb and Death Angel by Howard.

Now trying to decide what to read next.

Hey, Nalini! At first, I was wondering what you were talking about. Spring? But, I almost forgot, you don't live in the U.S. Duh!
Gorgeous pics! I just love flowers, especially roses!
I just finished 'Sleepless in Scotland' by Karen Hawkins. It was good as always.
I'm currently revisiting the Burg in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels. Can't help but love them!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Aneela, I simply LOVE AHLNO! I can't say it enough! KC is just awesome! So, no, I didn't find it slow at all. In fact, it's one of my fave books of all time! Couldn't put it down!

I wish it were warm enough to grow roses here now. The radio said maybe snow Wednesday, just in time for US holiday traffic.

I just finished re-reading Light in Shadows & Truth or Dare by Jayne Ann Krentz. I read Kindred before them. I am counting the days for Ardeur by Laurell K Hamilton and Beyond the Dark a multi author book with stories by Lora Leign and Angela Knight.

Finally found a copy of Blaze of Memory (stores were sold out when I would go) so I read that. Now I am reading Skin Game by Ava Gray :D

Piffle...lucky! It's FREEZING here and rain, rain, rain! Argh!

I just finished reading Betrayals by Lili St. Crow. It's really good!

Tomorrow I'm purging books. Ack! When you consider I have well over 1000 books in a 12X12 bedroom. Eek! So, it's time to get it done. I'm kind of excited, but also sad. It's like giving up my nonexistent children. ha!

Princess Bumblebee, thanks for the feedback...I guess it's just me then.

P.S. I think Kresley Cole is awesome too.

Your photos are fabulous. You even caught the dew on the petals. I'm reading Alexandra Ivy's Darkness Unleashed. Love them brooding vampires.

I've been rereading Robin D. Owens' Celta series, and went on to read Christina Skye's new Draycott Abbey book, Bound by Dreams. I'm currently rereading Susan Sizemore's Dark Stranger, after reading it for the first time earlier today. I just had to start again from the beginning to savor it! I'm considering rereading all of Sizemore's books now....

Hey Nalini,

I just finished "Angel's Blood" for the second time. Can't wait for the next one within the Guild's and Psy/Changeling series. You actually brought me to these kind of novels. I usually am more into crime like Jeffrey Deaver's "Broken Window", which I finished on Friday.

Enjoy your spring and keep the books coming ;-)

I am almost done with "To Desire a Devil" by Elizabeth Hoyt...and planning to re read "Devil in Winter" by Lisa Kleypas, which is 1 of my favorite books... :D

I finished reading Grimspace over the weekend, which I enjoyed. And yes, the second is on my TBR list. I'm currently reading As Shadows Fade (Colleen Gleason), which I'm enjoying except for the fact that I kind of know the ending...

Coming up on my radar is (finally) Fragile Eternity (Melissa Marr). I adored Ink Exchange, which is why I have been looking forward to this for ages (my TBR list and I have been having a war over what to read, which is why it's taken me so long).

I hope everyone has a lovely week :)

Lovely pictures especially for us in fall and not spring, thanks Nalini!

I finished reading Blaze of Memory which was FANTASTIC! This is the first time you've made me cry during a book, I was full on crying, not just teary-eyed. My hubby thought I was crazy. Can't wait for Max's book!

I also read Covet by JR Ward which was really good and I've stared the YA novel Catching Fire the sequel to The Hunger Games. However, I had to reread Zach and Annie's story before starting the ya novel...I was just craving it!
