Friday Book Club

This week has gone by so fast. I can't believe it's Friday already!

I read The Untamed Bride by Stephanie Laurens this week and loved it! It's the first book in her new Black Cobra Quartet, and I can't wait for the next book already.

So, what are you reading and loving this week?

I've finished a couple of Tracy Anne Warren historicals which I thoroughly enjoyed - Tempted By His Kiss and Seduced By His Touch from her Byrons of Braebourne series.

I thoroughly enjoyed Blaze of Memory and Deborah Cooke's Winter Kiss.

Currently reading Alex Archer's Paradox

Hi Nalini .. I loved The Untamed Bride too. Have you read the excerpt for the next book in the series (The Elusive Bride) - Stephanie Laurens has the excerpt on her website.

I've a few really good ones these last couple of weeks:

Blaze of Memory was fantastic! Even though you know there's going to be a happy ending... I just didn't know how. You are a master :)

GA Aiken's 'What a Dragon Should Know' is hysterically funny.

The entire backlist of Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux... so damn romantic.

Nora's Bed of Roses... made me cry =)

Reading Kindred in Death by JD Robb, not bad so far.

Hi there... First time to post on the "Book Club" discussions.

I just finished the anthology Hot for the Holidays lead author is Lora Leigh. It was FANTASTIC! Four great stories, two of which are the start of new series. Ms. Leigh was the only author I'd read before. Each story was unique in its mythology and every story was HOT! I highly recommend! Next up: Covet by JR Ward and then FINALLY Blaze of Memory (can't wait!!)

Sadly, I haven't got Blaze of Memory yet :( Payday is tomorrow though!

I did read Bed of Roses (I can't remember if I posted it in last week's thread or not). I read it through in one setting, it was fantastic! Not perfect, I'm still mulling a little over a few parts, but overall it was good. Nora's books seem to be hit or miss with me, but this one (and the first in the Bride Quartet) were definitely hits. Can't wait for laurel's story!

I just started Bengal's heart by Lara Leigh. The first few pages have been good so far.

I've been rereading all the J.D. Robb books so I can read the new Kindred in Death. I'm currently on Strangers in Death. It's fun rereading the entire series and remembering how much I love Eve and Roarke and the other characters.

Hey, Nalini! Actually, I'm right in the middle of 'Blaze Of Memory' and can't wait to get home so I can finish it. Had to force myself to go to bed last night cause I couldn't put it down, it's so good. Then again, all of your books are like that, hehe.
After that, I think I'll start a reread of the Stephanie Plum series. Don't know why, but the Burg is calling for a visit!

I just finished Blaze of Memory last night and I cannot wait for Bonds of Justice. I love you Nalini and am so excited for Elena and Raphael in February, too. Now I'm reading Kay Stockham's Montana Secrets. Have a great weekend.

For a change of pace I'm reading The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde. I felt like a laugh and he always delivers. This is a different series than the Thursday Next ones, about the Nursery Crimes Division and Humpty Dumpty and has fallen off his wall. Kind of wacky, but I personally love that.

I've missed the Friday Book Club for a while, and although I read like a wild woman last month, this month is slow. Too much work. This week I read 1 book. Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts -- a good, straight romance by Ms. R. Can't wait for the next one. :)

I'm reading and really enjoying Lisa Dale's second book, It Happened One Night. I really liked her writing when I read her first romance novel Simple Wishes and this one is better than the first one. I'm glad I gave it a shot.

I finally have my copy of Blaze of Memory and hope to get to it this week. :)
