Got questions? I may possibly have answers ;-)
Questions about either the Psy/Changeling or Guild Hunter series are okay. Though if you have questions about earlier books in the Psy/Changeling series, you might want to check out the Q & A thread from last year to see if I answered it there.
The floor's now open for questions... (and will remain so until the end of the week).
Edited to add: There will be *spoilers*, so if you haven't read Branded By Fire or Angels' Blood, swing back after you've had a chance to read them :-)

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 257 of 257Hi Ms.Singh, I adore your books!
Thank you for answering our questions.
1.Is there a character or a hero who you don't like but wrote about (or a character you felt difficult to write about?
2.You create very strong female heroines (I mean strong in their character). Is it easier for you to write in the view of a female character or a male?
Sorry, my english isn't good.
Hi, I promised I'd be back with more questions and here I am!
1) How long does it usually take for a changeling to recognize their mate? From what we've seen, it seems to take a short period of time but I'm curious as to whether it's possible for pack members to not realize they're mates until they're older (in their 20's or 30's).
2) Although I assume most of DarkRiver pack has gotten used to Sascha, Faith, and Shaya, are there still pack members who feel uncomfortable around them because they are Psy? Or at least around Faith and Shaya who resemble a typical Psy more than Sascha?
3) Will we learn a little more about Noor and her powers in Dev's book?
4) I'm curious as to how pregnancies are handled for the Psy in the Psynet? Are there more test tube babies? Are there more C-Sections than not? Earlier you said that DarkRiver may need to invite a Psy (M-Psy?) in to help with Sascha and I was just wondering how much the changeling method and Psy method would clash.
5) Guild Hunter Q: Arcangels seem to be rare and, from my understanding, the only ones around now are the ones who are in that council thingy. So what happens when a new arcangel appears? How is power and control dictated? Is someone bumped off the council or are there arcangels that exist outside of that power structure?
So thanks again, and sorry for the wordy questions!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your books.
Will we get book 5. + 6. of your psy/changeling series also in german?
What about Angels Blood, will there be also a german translation?
Thank you
Lisa
Will there ever be a psy introduced to us with the psy-psy designation.
Una, did you mean Ps-Psy?
Yes, I'm a dork and typo-ed it! Will we have a psy (or psy/changling or psy/human) with the Ps-Psy designation. Just to clarify, this is a mental ability tied to physical touch. If so, I find this fascinating that the psy would require touch in their gift but with silence are abhorrent to touch and the ramifications of it. Also, the extent of the Ps-Psy ability...
Sorry, I forgot to ask, is there any chance Magical Christmas Cat will be released in mass market paperback as well?
Anonymous, if you want now, you can purchase the TPB at Borders for about $4-$6 in the sales section (there were trade sizes for $4, $5, and $6 so I couldn't remember which was the price). I saw it at a Borders store this past Sunday (I'm in Philly, PA).
I'm really loving these questions being asked. You guys rock, and Nalini, you rock x10. I love your books! Up until March of this year, I had not read any book written by you. After an impulsive buy of Angel's Blood, I bought out your backlist NEW and I never did that for any author. I can't wait for your next books.
So my question is, you said to trust you regarding Hawke's mate. Can you confirm then -- just so I'm not confused -- that by placing myself in your trust means Sienna is Hawke's mate? :P
Is Drew Indigo's mate and if not, is her mate from another changling pack?
Thanks Nalini
In the Hawke/Sienna camp!!!
Hi, Nalini. This Q&A is great! I can't stop coming back here for information.
In re: Rianne's comment to the end of one arc of the story and the beginning of another -- I'm also very happy about this and agree with her comment.
I am wondering how you'll find a resolution to that first story arc, and still continue with the series. I'm just wondering if there will be a resolution to the Psy/Changeling /Human/Forgotten... etc... conflict. Or will that conflict continue on to the second part of this series? Thank you.
Do you consider yourself an American Writer who is a New Zealender or a New Zealender who is an American Writer.
Do your books get published in New Zealand and where you live first?
And did you set out to become an "American Writer"? Knowing when you started you needed to publish in the US or with a goal to publish in the US as part of your strategy?
Do you think 'foreign' authors have harder times getting published?
And how about a funny tidbit or scene that just wouldn't work based on culture?
Nalini, thanks so much for your generousity in answering so many questions, and so patiently!
I've been intrigued by Rina since we first saw her get put in her place in StS, and I thought the short "A Present for Kit" on your website was so sweet. She's been referred to as "young" by a couple of characters, but if Kit's 20 and she's at least a few years older, is she old enough yet for her own story? Do you have plans to write her story, and, if so, will it be in this story arc?
Where is Max first mentioned in the series? I can't remember him and it's driving me crazy!
Hope you don't mind, Nalini.
Anonymous Max is introduced in MtP (Mine to Possess) which is Clay and Tally's book. He was the cop working the case of the missing kids. He is from New York but came to San Francisco to follow up leads on the missing kids. He is first scene at Tally's apartment after the break in.

Una, thanks for answering my question! I just kept thinking "Who is he and he's getting a book?! Why don't I remember him?"
I just wrote about ten answers and they all disappeared! Nooooo!
Answers found! :)
So my question is, are you in contact with a lot of authors like that? Is there like a secret society of Fantastic Paranormal Romance Authors who get together (or email at least) for talk of fiction and chocolate?
The first rule of FPRA is not to talk to talk about FPRA...
*grin*
I was really delighted to see my name in Gena's book! :) When I was first working toward publication, I used to wonder the same thing - how come all these authors knew each other? How did I get a password to the club?! But the truth is, it's a very natural process. I first met Gena on the eHarlequin boards - she'd just had her first few HQN books come out, and I was writing for Desire. And we've stayed in touch ever since.
Another question is directed about the Psy/Changeling world. You mentioned earlier that the first arc will end in about three(?) books, but will characters from the first arc still show up in the second arc...and the third...and the fourth...and the tenth?
This is more than likely. I really love seeing characters develop throughout the series!
Are we going to get to see more of Vaughn and Faith in later books? Vaughn especially...we haven't checked in on him in a while.
You glimpse Vaughn in BLAZE OF MEMORY, and you'll see Faith as well in Max's book.
And I just remembered something from CBI...(I think)...will we ever find out what the weird twisting thread is around Walker's Psy thread that was hinted at?
Yes, you will.
How old are Judd, Walker, and Brenna? Random question, I know...but I was wondering.
Judd and Brenna - answered in a comment above.
Walker - I don't have the date handy, but he's in his late thirties I think.
About Angel's Blood...are we going to find out more about how the Archangel's have the world divided up?
You'll see more pieces as the series develops. I prefer to have information come out naturally through the books, vs all of it in one.
And by Elena making Raphael "a little more human"...does it make him mortal-ish? Any clues on how that will impact the Seven?
This will be addressed in ARCHANGEL'S KISS.
You said a bit earlier, that not every one of the Seven wants to rule...would that be implying that there are members of the Seven that do? If so, why haven't they tried...and with Raphael's involvement with Elena, will it give whomever impetus to try? Or does the "little more human" nullify b/c Elena's an angel now?
The answer was in response to a question about the hierarchy among the Seven - so we were talking about how Dmitri is their leader.
None of them would ever go against Raphael - that's part of what makes his Seven so unique - their absolute loyalty.
My question is before silence when psy mingled with the other races how would a child who was mostly human but needed bio-feedback, would they have been able to link with the psy-net or would it have rejected the link because the net was too purely psy?
The PsyNet was a different place then, not closed, but open. That changes a lot of things - and I think once you read BLAZE OF MEMORY, you'll see a hint of how it might've been different.
I was wondering if you have an anthology coming out this year? I've noticed you have two Psy/Changling books and a novella a year, did that change this year? I know Ria's story is next year so I was just wondering.
This year, I wrote a Guild Hunter novella - in MUST LOVE HELLHOUNDS. I also wrote Angels' Pawn (e-special) to launch the Guild Hunter series. But there'll be more Psy/Changeling novellas coming up - I enjoy writing them a lot.
I just finished re-reading CBI and it got me wondering about Father Perez. Will we learn more about him?
Yes, you find out something very important about him in BLAZE.
And about Walker too. I must say, I would love it if he can have his own book. What can you tell us about his odd star with the twisting motion at the center.
He is completely fascinating - the quiet ones always are. :) Can't say anything yet about the star, but I do know the reason behind it. You'll have to wait for the answer to that for a little while.
Also, reading your answers above, you said that the Ghost is a ghost, does that mean he's someone people think is dead?
Actually, I was just trying to be inscrutable...*grin* Read nothing into it.
Is there a possibility of a Forgotten ((Editing, meant to say a Forgotten other than Dev). or The Ghost being a Hero/Heroine?
Yes, sure. Esp. re the Ghost.
I'm on the NSW north coast, half way between Brisbane and Sydney?
I don't know if I'll be anywhere near there, but keep an eye on the website. I'll put up a notice if I'm doing any events in Oz :)
Is there the possibility of a book having two separate romances for two major characters?
Do you mean two parallel couples' stories? At this stage, I don't think so - I need the entire book to really tell one couple's story (especially given the other things that are happening in the overall story).
will there be same-sexual pairs in the future?
As a main couple? No.
1.Is there a character or a hero who you don't like but wrote about (or a character you felt difficult to write about?
I love all my heroes :) As for characters - each character is unique, and usually, if I'm having trouble with him/her, what I need to do is sit down and really think about what it is that makes them tick. Once I have that, then it becomes much easier to understand who they are, their actions etc.
2.You create very strong female heroines (I mean strong in their character). Is it easier for you to write in the view of a female character or a male?
Sorry, my english isn't good.
I've never really thought about it - I think it depends more on the character than the gender. (And your English is great :))
1) How long does it usually take for a changeling to recognize their mate? From what we've seen, it seems to take a short period of time but I'm curious as to whether it's possible for pack members to not realize they're mates until they're older (in their 20's or 30's).
Yes, it's very possible. Each couple is unique. For example, in Mercy and Riley's case, they had to be ready for each other. They'd known each other several years before they realized they were mates.
2) Although I assume most of DarkRiver pack has gotten used to Sascha, Faith, and Shaya, are there still pack members who feel uncomfortable around them because they are Psy? Or at least around Faith and Shaya who resemble a typical Psy more than Sascha?
Part of the great thing about being in a strong, healthy pack is that once you're accepted, you're accepted.
Also, cats are curious by nature. In this situation, that means they'd just come out and ask if they were unsure about anything relating to their packmates.
3) Will we learn a little more about Noor and her powers in Dev's book?
Yes.
Psy conceptions mostly happen in the lab, yes.
But, the Psy, for all their tech prowess, haven't yet been able to create an artificial womb. So in most cases, pregnancy is the same, no matter what the race.
This is a line from ARCHANGEL'S KISS: To be an archangel is to be Cadre. It is as simple, and as inevitable, as that.
Will we get book 5. + 6. of your psy/changeling series also in german?
What about Angels Blood, will there be also a german translation?
Yes :)
Yes, I'd like to do this. You do get some more info about Ps-Psy in BLAZE as well.
So my question is, you said to trust you regarding Hawke's mate. Can you confirm then -- just so I'm not confused -- that by placing myself in your trust means Sienna is Hawke's mate? :P
Trust must be unconditional *grin*
Is Drew Indigo's mate and if not, is her mate from another changling pack?
I'm going to wait to announce Indigo's mate as I'm not currently working on her book. :)
I am wondering how you'll find a resolution to that first story arc, and still continue with the series. I'm just wondering if there will be a resolution to the Psy/Changeling /Human/Forgotten... etc... conflict. Or will that conflict continue on to the second part of this series? Thank you.
If I told you the answer to this, what would be the fun in reading the books?!
Do you consider yourself an American Writer who is a New Zealender or a New Zealender who is an American Writer.
I'm an international writer :)
Do your books get published in New Zealand and where you live first?
No, first publication is in North America.
And did you set out to become an "American Writer"? Knowing when you started you needed to publish in the US or with a goal to publish in the US as part of your strategy?
Specifically: When I started out, I was writing category, and the major category publisher (Harlequin), has editorial offices in London, NY & Toroto, so those were the places I was submitting.
More generally: I've never believed in limiting myself - I submitted to the houses that I thought would be most likely to accept my stories, regardless of location.
Do you think 'foreign' authors have harder times getting published?
With the internet and the information available, I think this is becoming less and less the case. It depends, in the end, on the story.
And how about a funny tidbit or scene that just wouldn't work based on culture?
Usually, it's just words I have to watch out for.
For example:
cotton candy vs candy floss
Or
trunk vs boot
Ladies i think we have an answer to the Sienna?Hawke question (unless Nalini is being sneaky) at least three times she has mentioned "Sienna's book" now given the fact that she has also said that Hawke's story will be in this Story arc and all the other heroes are named that would seem to make it clear that Hawke and Sienna are getting together/ Also I am sort of thinking that Walker is Indigo's mate. Anyone else in that camp?

They're not so very far apart in age. And I would tell you their exact ages except...I worked it out on a piece of paper (for the short story) that is now lost under piles of manuscripts on my desk. When I unearth it, you'll have more specific info!
But generally speaking - each individual is different. Rina is really growing into her skin at the moment, and relishing her freedom - she is, after all, a dominant female.
Where is Max first mentioned in the series? I can't remember him and it's driving me crazy!
Una's answered this below very nicely :)
Hi Nalini,
I hope you can answer this questions
1. You spoke of a second arc to the psy changelings series. Will it be with the Dark River and Snow Dancers or will you change the territory, like focus more on the psy or change to a new changeling group somewhere else?
2. Do you think in your psy world, there might be the possibility that two psy, both connected to the net, could fall in love? Sascha, Faith and Ashaya Arlain have all broken silence before defecting from the Psy Net. Might there still be couples in the Net, unaccounted, undiscovered, hidden?
3. VASIC I LOVE HIM WHEN DO WE GET HIS STORY / HEA?
I know you wrote in another QA that his story will probably come, but that he has a long way to go, and it will take some time. But how long is long? Can you say something about him? PLEASE?
Thank you, Nalini for the great great books,
Katharina
Will Ria's book be in an anthology similar to past two anthologies that included Psy-Changling novellas?
Just because this is too much fun, I think that when Nalini says "Sienna's book" she is referring to the second story arc. Thereby inferring that Hawke's mate is not Sienna. (hehehe)
Thank you Nalini for continuing to be vague enough so we can keep plotting in our "little Hawke-HEA camps!" =)
My theories goes to Drew so far for Indigo but at this point, I'm just loving the speculation!
I'm glad you didn't lose your answers/post Nalini - I hate it when that happens. And, again, thank you for doing this! After all these answers, I'm just so anxious for Dev's book!
Love the speculation Teriannesis, but I think Nalini said Indigo's mate is a changeling. I really like that glimpse of Hamilton...so I'm sort of in his camp right now. But Drew would be good too. It would be great if Indigo hooked up with either Mercy's or Riley's brother.
Teriannesis I was a walker/Indigo fan, too. but I asked Nalini if Indigo's mate was psy, human, or changeling... (way back on the first page).
3. I am ecstatic to see Indigo on the list! I love the wolves and want them to get more 'screen' time. Can you tell us if Indigo's mate is psy/human/changeling?
Changeling.
Just thought of a couple random questions that never occurred to me before:
What IS Mercy's last name? I just tried skimming BbF, but I couldn't find mention of it.
And also, though I know those in the PsyNet conceive children in labs mostly so the parent that doesn't have custody is sort of unimportant, where are Faith's mother and Sascha's father? What are their abilities?
First off (even though I've commented already), I loved the mention of Judd's destructive behavior in regards to their bed. That cracked me up.
That brings me to a question that I'd love to hear the answer to. As a writer (tho not published...yet), I find it can be difficult to keep up on who does what, where, when, how. What do you do to keep track of everything?
Do you have a Psy/Changeling "Bible" that you keep everything all together in or do you rely on your memory.
Are you a pantser or a planner? I'm a pantser w/ planner tendencies, which is definitely a conundrum sometimes. :)
I wanted to know what are the rules concerning changeling territory with regards to other changeling. like for example if before the alliance someone from DarkRiver wanted to take make a roadtrip out of state, but they had to pass through SnowDancer land would they have had to get permission from SD or since they weren't stopping they would have been able to go on their way?
And also is it only changeling who have to get permission to be in another's territory or do humans and psy have to as well?

I love your books! :) My question is- are all of the members of the Seven male?
KL and Nalini, I hope you don't mind if I help answer this one.

In Branded by Fire, it mentions how non-predatory changelings must get permission to be in SD and DR territory, whether it be long-term or just driving/flying by. Anyone (psy, changeling or human) who is caught trespassing can be punished, this is discussed in Visions of Heat when Vaughn first finds Faith. The subject also comes up when we find out the Laurens are now living with the Snowdancer pack.
Hope this helps!
I'm so glad the Q&A is finally here! Anyway, are we going to learn more about Elijah and Hannah in Archangel's Kiss or in future books?

Another question that popped into my head:
Toby has E-Psy tendencies brought out by a need in the Lauren Net. It seems from previous books that the psy breed for particular traits (like in VoH, Anthony's paternity agreements to produce a F-Psy etc.). However, if the Psy Council attempted to eradicate the E-Psy but they still appear, is it because of an instinctual triggering of DNA abilities as the net requires? What is Toby's main designation (I am assuming it has manifested as Marlee's has)?
Also, will Marlee have a sub-designation to her Tk-Psy ability? Or is that not what her main designation is?
Sascha being pregnant and the mention of Psy pregnant in the Net make me wonder: How successful is Silence when faced with maternal love? It is, by biology and instinct, one of the most powerful and primal emotions, even beyond paternal love in a lot of species.
Also, because Psy women bear children like the other two human races, they're flooded with the wacky hormones that go aling with gestating. Having been through that very recently (my little guy is almost three months old already!), I can't imagine Silence being completely invulnerable to that kind of onslaught.
1. You spoke of a second arc to the psy changelings series. Will it be with the Dark River and Snow Dancers or will you change the territory, like focus more on the psy or change to a new changeling group somewhere else?
It'll continue to involve the packs we've come to know and love, but we may also have new players.
2. Do you think in your psy world, there might be the possibility that two psy, both connected to the net, could fall in love? Sascha, Faith and Ashaya Arlain have all broken silence before defecting from the Psy Net. Might there still be couples in the Net, unaccounted, undiscovered, hidden?
Anything is possible ;)
3. VASIC I LOVE HIM WHEN DO WE GET HIS STORY / HEA?
I know you wrote in another QA that his story will probably come, but that he has a long way to go, and it will take some time. But how long is long? Can you say something about him? PLEASE?
No, can't say anything else yet.
Will Ria's book be in an anthology similar to past two anthologies that included Psy-Changling novellas?
I haven't got any info I can share about the anthology yet, but I will as soon as I do!
What IS Mercy's last name? I just tried skimming BbF, but I couldn't find mention of it.
Smith :) (Do you think this has something to do with why their Mom gave them all such distinctive first names??)
And also, though I know those in the PsyNet conceive children in labs mostly so the parent that doesn't have custody is sort of unimportant, where are Faith's mother and Sascha's father? What are their abilities?
They're not part of their lives. If they ever do come back in, that's when you'll learn more about them. For now, they shall remain mysteries.
First off (even though I've commented already), I loved the mention of Judd's destructive behavior in regards to their bed. That cracked me up.
He's keeping several furniture shops in business. *g*
That brings me to a question that I'd love to hear the answer to. As a writer (tho not published...yet), I find it can be difficult to keep up on who does what, where, when, how. What do you do to keep track of everything?
Do you have a Psy/
Changeling "Bible" that you keep everything all together in or do you rely on your memory.
Yes, I have a bible. A lot of it is in my head, but I always double check details. I'd recommend keeping some kind of a bible to any writer working on a series.
I also keep complete electronic files of the books - the FIND function is a series' writers friend. Often, I know exactly which scene, sometimes which line, I'm looking for. With a searchable file, I can go straight to that point.
I do also have Post-It annotated copies of my books.
And after all that, I'm still completely paranoid something will slip past me.
Are you a pantser or a planner? I'm a pantser w/ planner tendencies, which is definitely a conundrum sometimes. :)
I prefer organic writer over pantser. Just sounds more civilized *grin*
I am however, become something of a planner too when it comes to the overall series arc.
So while I just sit down and see where the characters take me with each book, I do have a skeleton structure at the back of my mind for the series.
Elizabeth's answer below is correct. All changelings have to get permission, whether they're passing through or stopping. Though obviously, with the passing through, it's less of a big deal - but they must still always let the major pack in the region know.
I'll just add that when it comes to non-changelings, the "trespass" part relates only to the land directly around the den (or in DarkRiver's case, directly around the areas where they live/play). They are free to come and go through the wider territory.
I love your books! :) My question is- are all of the members of the Seven male?
Thanks, Anon. And yes, they are :)
I'm so glad the Q&A is finally here! Anyway, are we going to learn more about Elijah and Hannah in Archangel's Kiss or in future books?
They appear in Archangel's Kiss and you get to know a little about them.
This isn't quite correct - while the Psy attempt to choose donors who have a high chance to creating a child with certain abilities, there is no way to be absolutely certain of the result. Psy abilities are tied to genes, but they still aren't understood well enough to be perfectly predicted.
The E-Psy issue will continue to be explored through the series, so you'll find out more as the books go on.
I'm fairly certain Toby is a telepath, but I would need to check ze bible to make sure. (See note above re my paranoia).
Also, will Marlee have a sub-designation to her Tk-Psy ability? Or is that not what her main designation is?
The answer is in the scene in CBI with Brenna - she says she's only a little bit Tk. So you'll have to wait to see if she's something else as well.
First - hope you and your new baby are doing great!
Second - why, those are excellent questions. *g* But you'll have to wait a while for the answers.
I think I caught all the questions. Let me know if I missed anything!
What a great Q & A!! Loving it! I'm trying to wait until all the questions have been answered until I start speculating again (I'm having a really hard time, though!). So excited about the new tidbits. Can't wait for the Justice Psy!
1. Will Sahara NightStar show up in the first arc at all, or do we have to wait until after book 10 to find out what happened to her?
2. What about the missing Psy soldiers that disappeared without their bodies ever being recovered? Did they survive? Are they a part of the ShadowNet?
3. Will Laura get her own story (SnowDancer Healer)?
4. To complete your first story arc, will the Psy Council have to be removed from power? Also, will the PsyNet be changed permanently—such as the merger of the NetMind and the DarkMind or due to the emotional fallout that would be caused by the failure of Silence?
5. Will we see the Arrow Squad again?
6. How about Zach and Annie? Will we get an update on them?
7. Is Angel’s Pawn going to be released in a paperback anthology?
Thanks again for you time in answering all our questions.
Zoe
I have a question about Ashaya's son. He had made some predictions about some of the young ones, such as him and Noor. Is he an F-psy? Will he have a bigger role in the coming books?
All this talk about Sascha got me thinking. Are angels born with wings? And will they be able to reproduce with humans and vampires?

Hello
I was wondering how many angels in total you envision in the guild-hunter world? 100's, 1000's, 10 000's?
1. Will Sahara NightStar show up in the first arc at all, or do we have to wait until after book 10 to find out what happened to her?
You'll have to wait.
2. What about the missing Psy soldiers that disappeared without their bodies ever being recovered? Did they survive? Are they a part of the ShadowNet?
Their fate is as yet undetermined.
3. Will Laura get her own story (SnowDancer Healer)?
Yep, I think so.
4. To complete your first story arc, will the Psy Council have to be removed from power? Also, will the PsyNet be changed permanently—such as the merger of the NetMind and the DarkMind or due to the emotional fallout that would be caused by the failure of Silence?
For the answer to this, you'll have to keep reading the series.
5. Will we see the Arrow Squad again?
They appear in BLAZE OF MEMORY.
6. How about Zach and Annie? Will we get an update on them?
Yes. Annie was in a scene in BRANDED that I had to delete, but I'll put it up on the slate a little bit later on. But they're part of DarkRiver, so they'll reappear in the series. :)
7. Is Angel’s Pawn going to be released in a paperback anthology?
At this stage, no.
I have a question about Ashaya's son. He had made some predictions about some of the young ones, such as him and Noor. Is he an F-psy? Will he have a bigger role in the coming books?
He was just being a kid - not really predicting so much as playing. :) He's a telepath, and yes, he's going to play a bigger role.
Are angels born with wings? And will they be able to reproduce with humans and vampires?
Wings, yes. Second question - keep on reading the series for the answer!
I was wondering how many angels in total you envision in the guild-hunter world? 100's, 1000's, 10 000's?
I haven't really considered numbers, but while they're a significant population, they're fewer in number than humans. Perhaps 1 to every 1000 humans. I'll have to sit down and do my calculations.
I don't know if the blogging is still going on but I noticed that Nalini totally ignored by theory about "Sienna's book" meaning that she is destined for Hawke.
I was also reading some others and it occurs to me that Judd doesn't seem to recoginize The Ghost as someone else so either Kaleb is not the Ghost or Judd having left the web before his accension Judd doesn't know who he is
I don't exactly remember what book it was in when Nakita said that she knew Sascha was an E-psy before she was born, how did she know and can/will the same thing be known while Sascha is pregnant?
kl
teriannesis - nothing personal :) I've been ignoring all theories, and only responding to direct questions.
kl - you'll get lots more info re Sascha's baby in Max's book.
Final Call - any final questions, please post them today. I'll do one more answer session, then close comments on this post!
Just had to say...thank you!!!! :D
I had some questions but they had some spoilers so I sent them in an email, I hope that's ok! Thank you for doing the Q & A!
I am enjoying this series tremendously. If the comments are still open I have a question. Is there a chance that Anthony will get his own story? And if so, can you tell us when is that likely to happen?
Hi I just want to say that this has been great, and if your still answering questions I wanted to know that since SD is spread all over California are there more than one "Den" type structure?
And in the Den there's a nursery is that like a day care for when parents are at work or do the cubs live there instead of with their parents when their that young?
Oh and one more question, When Sienna went home with Lucas and Sascha it became clear that most of DR didn't know about the Laurens. Within SD is the presence of the Laurens common knowledge like among juveniles and cubs or only those who live in the den.

ok I don't know if this is closed yet but I have to try.
First thanks for these stories they are awesome.
Second, it seemed (to me at least) that Sasha's mom was *gasp* feeling emotion for [sasha] but was excusing it as knowledge being power.
Will We be seeing more of Natasha in the future?
Random thought but I'd like to see Anthony and Natasha hookup.
third, Dev's mate, can you tell us who she is or is it hush hush til Nov?
Finally,
I don't know if I missed this answer but Hawke: why does he so closely resemble his animal? Is it maybe because he stayed in that form too long after a very tramatic event? Like say when the pack was attacked back when his mate was killed?
gracias in advance
Thanks for doing the Q/A, Nalini! It'll be a long wait to hear who's Hawke's heroine is...*sigh*
Tina
Oh, and one more thing. Who's older, Drew or Indigo? And what's their age as of Branded by Fire.
Tina
I have one random question before this is over, I thought of it during Riley and Mercy's book since they have so much interaction in their animal form. Do changeling ever have sex in their animal form, or only when their human?
Great Q&A there were some great questions asked and answered.
For the question above I meant only when two changelings are together.
Elizabeth - no worries. But the inbox is overflowing at the moment, so it might take a few days for me to get back to you.
Janine - I answered re Anthony in the thread above. If you scroll back, you should find it. :)
I wanted to know that since SD is spread all over California are there more than one "Den" type structure?
No, the den is their central point. They do have areas where they live and play, but nothing as big and complex as the den.
And in the Den there's a nursery is that like a day care for when parents are at work or do the cubs live there instead of with their parents when their that young?
There's a nursery for when parents are at work. I think it might've been mentioned in VISIONS OF HEAT.
Within SD is the presence of the Laurens common knowledge like among juveniles and cubs or only those who live in the den.
The majority of SD knows since the Laurens live in the den.
Will We be seeing more of Nikita in the future?
Yes.
third, Dev's mate, can you tell us who she is or is it hush hush til Nov?
Hush hush ;)
why does he so closely resemble his animal?
Answer to come in his book.
Who's older, Drew or Indigo? And what's their age as of Branded by Fire.
Indigo. I don't have my bible handy, so I can't confirm the ages. But I think mid-late 20's.
Do changeling ever have sex in their animal form, or only when their human?
I occasionally leave things deliberately open for readers to think about/decide. For the time being, this is one of them :-)
THREAD CLOSED
Thanks for the threat Q & A everyone! I want to close this thread with a final message - the books are the central authority.
If there's ever any doubt about an answer to a particular question, it's what's in the book(s) that is correct. :)
