Catchup & Abby Gaines

First up, BooksOnBoard is giving away The Natural, a novella by fellow NZ author Abby Gaines, so check it out.

What're you all up to this weekend? I'm doing some work on a special project that I'll tell you all about next week sometime. :-)

I'm trying to not stalk you regarding this secret thing, but you're making it difficult :) I'm hoping it's more excerpts from Mercy's book {fingers crossed}

As for the weekend, house cleaning and putting up Xmas decorations. I wasn't going to, but my nephew wants to decorate a tree, so there you go. Kids win.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Training to be a literacy tutor, learning to make gingerbread houses, going to a holiday party and... oh right; must study for finals.

Busy weekend - driving kidlets around. I live to serve.

I'm attending a symposium tomorrow on American Identity in Children's Literature, seeing my high school art teacher for coffee afterwards, and going to a Christmas party that night if I have the energy.

More plans for Sunday. I'm going to attend a showing of short animated films by Peter Sis, and hopefully get to talk to him in person. Then go to a meeting of my children's book group. I'm going to be utterly zonked by Sunday night!

Hi Nalini
thanks for mentioning my novella!

My weekend was spent working, sadly. But next weekend it'll be full-on Christmas shopping!

I'm intrigued to hear about your special project...

I`m already curious what you`ve worked out... - I fear almost that`s something to torture us again:).
My weekend? - Cleaning up, working on my thesis and book our next vacation trip (We plan to visit the coast cities: Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona, Mallorca and Marseille.)

I'll be attempting to write a non-fiction story.

I'm taking a break from panicking over the disaster zone that is my house, with my mother only a few hours from landing here. For TWO months (so no shoving stuff under beds or inside closets, see?)

But! I did manage to finish two of the five bookcases planned, so it's not terribly bad.

Hi Nalini,
I'm curious to see what you've been secretly working so hard on, even though it's probably going to tease us even more :)
I'm hoping to figure out what to buy for the guys in my life for Christmas this weekend. I've got all the girls taken care of, but the guys are just plain old difficult!
Good luck to everyone with all the cleaning and the holiday preparations.
I hope you enjoy your weekend!

...learning to make gingerbread houses

OK Gail...I'm hooked :) YUM!

Good luck Azteclady!

I spent the weekend trying to avoid making my wrists any worse - even writing a couple of Christmas cards hurt :( So, I started watching Stephen Spielberg's 'Into The West'...

Nalini....I'm intrigued, but then that's a given :)
