I finished Last Guard. An enjoyable read about a designation no one really does not know about.
Also read "The Adversary" by Thea Harrison. This is part of her Elder Race series with Dragos and Pia. It was a good conclusion to her other book "The Unseen". If someone is a first time reader of her Elder Race series, do not start with this book. You will get very confused very quickly. I would recommend reading her first book in the series.
While I'd love to have read Last Guard, I am 25th in line for it at the library so I have quite the wait. Instead, I've been reading books that came out end of May (because I just got them all from the library this week). First, I read For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten. Starts off seeming like it would be a retelling of Red Riding Hood (main character is called "Red" and she's destined for the Wolf), but it's definitely not. I thought the story was really great, though. I'm looking forward to the second book of the series next year. Second, I read Grace and Glory by Jennifer Armentrout and it was a great ending to the series it's part of. I'm wondering if she'll tell another story from this universe, as there's a hint there might be. Currently, I'm halfway through Shadow Storm by Christine Feehan and really enjoying Emme and Val's story. After I finish it, though, I have no clue what to read next while I wait for my other library requests.
By the way if anyone loves Jayne Castle's dust bunnies, they're coming back. She has a new book called "Guild Boss" coming out in late October. You can pre-order it now.
I'm currently reading the Archangel series, and love it! Will we be seeing more of Keir's story? How about some of the other Archangel's? This series has such a great overlap of wonderful character's (good and bad) that make up such an engaging universe for the readers to be apart of. I can't get enough of this series. PLEASE keep giving us more!!!!!

I loved Last Guard. I'm now in the middle of my first reread.
Such a wonderful book. No spoilers but a very welcome addition to the series.
