Finished Quiet In Her Bones. Different from her other books and with an unreliable narrator, which I usually don't enjoy. However, New Zealand as a character and with its atmosphere kept me engaged and page turning. Flew through the novel and am looking forward to her next mystery/thriller already.

Signed up at the library for Night Guard. Estimated wait only 6 months!

@Unknown ~ so sorry about half a year wait. Hoping the others in line ahead of you get tired of waiting & buying the book instead! So you'd end up with less than 2 week wait time!

So Crazy in Love with "Wave Rider" by Michelle Diner & "Someone to Cherish" by Mary Balogh ♥️

The Monster Hunter Files edited by Larry Correia and Brian Thomas Schmidt. It's my first exposure to this series, and so far I'm quite enjoying it. Will have to read the free ebook version of the first one in the series that I have, later. And then go from there. I'd have to request the ones my library owns, as they're all in print, and out of town. Looking forward to Last Guard too, of course. Have had a request in to the library for a while, but not sure how long the wait is. They don't appear to have the ebook version in their list yet. I hope I have better luck than I did with Patricia Briggs' Wild Sign. Finally had to give up on the print request, 'cause the digital one came available earlier, even with 20 some people on that wait list! (after 4 months I gave up and borrowed the ebook). Hopefully I'll be able to read this one before it comes out in paperback (I'm hoping for Christmas, but realize January or February is more likely) when I'll buy it.

I very much enjoyed the Dragon Ridden Chronicles by T.A. White. Lots of very fun twists and turns in this series. The last book just came out, so I re-read the first three and then read through the last two. It's a fantasy series that turns somewhat science fiction - with lots of fun characters and action packed scenes scatter throughout. I hope she continues the series at some point. There are lots of other story lines available for spin off novels or even complete series.

Read Ocean Light, Wolf Rain, and Alpha Night as a pre-release refresher(Silver Silence was read two weeks ago).
Currently reading Camp Alien by Gini Koch.

Finished Meljean Brook's Guardian Demon (The Guardians #8). What a fun and twisty trip the series is. I know I am late to the party, but if anyone else is on the fence about reading the series, I recommend it.

Also read the entire Mandrake Company series by Ruby Liondrake (aka Lindsay Buroker). I own the series box set in digital, but decided to listen to the audio versions for the ones my library had available. My favorites were: Mercenary Instinct (#1), The Assassin’s Salvation (#3), and Mercenary Courage (#5).

Honorable mentions go to The Pirate Captain's Daughter (#6) and Quashi (#7.5) both of which were actually rereads from a few years back as I also own them in the original anthologies they released under.

My original comment got lost in cyberspace and when I retyped it I forgot to add only 72 more hours until Last Guard! Whoo hoo!

Actually 71 hours and 57 minutes now. Not that I am obsessively counting or anything :)

Almost forgot, also read Blink of an Eye by Alyssa Day, which is part of her Tiger Eye Mysteries.
Tiger shapeshifter teams up with his uncle's former employee to solve crimes. The employee is of Irish descent and American Southern upbringing and can see how people die when she touches them, so she avoids contact. Very slow burn on the romance.

@library addict, when I was at my usual bookstore yesterday, they had 1 copy of Last Guard!! (too expensive for me to buy, but exciting nonetheless!) I flipped through it a little, and it looks like it's filled with many little bits of new fascinating information in the quotes/excerpts that begin many (maybe all?) of the chapters!! I can't wait until my library request for it is filled! Also for the paperback to come out so I can own it, but that's so far away! I'm focusing on being able to borrow it from the library first!

Just finished "Alpha Night" so my reread of the Psy/Changling/Trinity series is complete. Now, if only it were tomorrow night, I'd only have a bit over an hour to wait for my Kindle copy of "Last Guard". Can't wait!!

Someone last week recommended Wave Rider by Michelle Diener. It was AMAZING! If you did not read it, you are missing out on a really great book!
