Enjoyed Shannon Stacey's More than Neighbors (Blackberry Bay #1) as well as Tasha Suri's Empire of Sand (Books of Ambha #1).
Then finally read Milla Vane's The Beat of Blackmoor (A Gathering of Dragons #.5). I read it from 2014's Night Shift anthology but it is also available in digital as a single novella. Why did I wait so long? The world is very dark, but the romance is lovely.
Just started A Heart of Blood and Ashes (A Gathering of Dragons #1).
I already devoured Lost Talismans and a Tequila by Annette Marie last night. Definite OMG, holy s---, and some squee moments. So very sad this is the next to last book for this series. I totally want more and glad she's starting a new series in the same world.
Also got The Beast of Blackmoor by Milla Vane to read and also Library of the Unwritten by A J Hackwith.
I enjoyed One More Step, an anthology for charity. Each story starts with the same sentence. I followed that with two books by Evan Grace (one of the authors I sampled in the anthology). The first was Realism and the second Stencil. They start a new series and tell good stories about sisters who own a business together. I also read Hail to the King by May Sage, which is the only book I've tried from this particular series of hers. I like Some Girls Do better but this one was still good. I also read Susie and the Alien by Lili Zander. This book is hot and funny but I would not call this one a romance. It seems like it will be... Susie just broke up with a jerk and she's abducted by an alien who has many (shall we say) resources to share with her, ensuring she can travel in luxury and enjoy a worry free (year plus) break from real life. But it never gets romantic. Susie and Bob are good friends with lots of extra benefits, but not a romantic couple, in the traditional sense.
Got sucked into MindWalker by A.J. Steiger today. Done virtually nothing else but read it. apparently there is a sequel too, but my library system doesn't have it in any format. Great perspective on society and so many other things. Totalitarianism and ... mental health and, difference, and so many other things. Can't even describe them here. The main character and her late father seem to be the only ones who don't believe that some people are 'too broken to be helped'.

Took a break from the Sholan Alliance and read Desolation Road by Christine Feehan, Quicksilver by Amanda Quick and reread Alpha Night.

Just read the latest installment of "Ryder" on the Ilona Andrews website. It's getting good.
