Very interesting! I agree with Eve and Delia. However, Mavis should have been included with them at the top. Mavis is Eve's oldest friend and their friendship is really noticeable in Naked in Death (which is the first book in the entire series). This book is before there was a Peabody in Eve's life.
I also agree with @library addict that Molly and Charlie should be included. I also think that Thea, Sarah, and Kit should be on the list.
Also add Irja, Astrid, and Naya in Asa Maria Bradley's Viking Warrior series. just reading the part where Irja reveals she has magic powers reviled by the Norse, despite her fear of rejection (and concealment of the fact for hundreds of years) (oh, btw, she's also refused to use them for hundreds of years because of the price they require - or she thinks they do) and both Astrid and Naya are extremely supportive!
