The Friday Book Club is now open! What are you reading and loving lately? I'm in a science fiction mood so I'm on the lookout for new sf reads. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Also, I have two links for you to bookmark for the month of August - both featuring amazing giveaways. (For international folks, just check the rules for each day - some giveaways are open internationally, others not. Mine will be :-))
Read-A-Romance Month website - this will feature posts and giveaways by tons of authors (including me), throughout August, so make sure you check in every day. http://www.readaromancemonth.com/
Same goes for www.dearauthor.com - which is holding a giveaway extravaganza!
Now, onto the books you're reading!

"Hellfire", bk 3 of "Theirs Not to Reason Why" by Jean Johnson just came out, if you like future space opera with the Prophet of a Thousand Years as the central character.
I have to agree "Hellfire" is a good book and I really like the series. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I'm going to start "Magic Rises" by Ilona Andrews.
I've just started The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. I got a recommendation from a goodreads friend. So far I am hooked!! Can't put it down.
In the Garden of Iden by Kage Baker. It's one of my all-time favourites.
Not sure if you would call it sf, however I suggest the Callahan series by Spider Robinson. For classic sf try E. Doc Smith's Skylark series. For funny sf try the Retief series by Keith Lamour (not sure of spelling of last name and I have my sf boxed up at the moment)
I love Linnea Sinclair's sci-fi, also the Acorna series and The Tower and the Hive series by Anne McCaffery, and the Sirantha Jax series by Ann Aguirre...oh and the Stardoc series by S.L. Viehl! As for what I'm reading, I'm STILL working on my re-read of the Kate Daniels series! I've only got about 20 pages left of Gunmetal Magic and then I can finally start Magic Rises!
I finished Magic Rises - loved it and now I desperately want the next one! I am finishing my reread of Meljean Brooks Demon series and I'm doing a reread of the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley because the final books of each series are out this month.
Just bought Julie Garwood's new release: Hotshot!!!
Just read sharpshooter by Cynthia Eden and magic rises by Ilona Andrews - both were fantastic. now I just have to wait for the next books, thank god the next book of Cynthia Edens series will be out next month .
greetings from Germany
Oh my, I have just today finished your first Psy-Changeling book. How did I not read it before this! Loved it. Thanks for writing.
I really liked Timothy Zahn's Quadrail series. If you like mystery with your scifi I highly recommend this series.
