Writing

I've handed in the final proofs of Kiss of Snow! According to the countdown widget on the sidebar, it's only 102 days till release day - I'm so looking forward to it!

I'll have more small excerpts for you a little later - I have to ration them out. Finding non-spoilery sections is tough.

Today, it's back to Archangel's Blade. I can't wait to dive back into the book! I should have a backcover blurb to share very soon.

Hope you're all having a good week. Tell me what're up to. :-)

I'm just working and awaiting summer! Can't wait for June to arrive!! =)

BTW, in KOS, will we get to see Hawke interact with Toby?

And what exactly comes after final proofs? Does that mean it goes straight to printing? Or is there like another step or something?

102 days seems so far away, but hopefully it will pass quickly! I'm really looking forward to another guild hunter book and I am already missing Raphael and Elena after finishing Archangel's consort, guess I'll just have to re-read the whole GH series again, it's my favourite series!

@Anon - yes, you'll see Hawke interact wtih Toby.

After I hand in the final proofs, my changes will be put into the typeset manuscript, and I believe there is another proofread. After that, as far as I know, it's set to be printed!

Just finished reading Archangel's Consort for the 3rd? 4th? time. I read something new in it each time.
Definitely going to be one of my top
books of 2011. Nalini, are you ever going to write any more books about
Raphael and Elena? I feel like we are just starting to see what their life together is going to be like.
I hope that wasn't their last book.

Just working, mothering, and fighting the blues. Re-reading Play of Passion at the moment and getting ready for the Bach rehearsals which start this weekend.

It just gets me all the more excited, every time you blog about it!

I have sick kids. :( We go to the doctor in the morning, because three of the four of them can't seem to shake it. Otherwise, I'm working on another writer's website, hoping to make it live in a couple of months. Reading, writing, enjoying the awesomeness of the literary world.

Can't wait 'till MAY!

Let's see. What am I doing this week? Oh, waiting for Kiss of Snow. Later I plan on waiting a little bit more for Kiss of Snow, and then I thought I'd round out the week with re-reading the Hawke parts of Play of Passion and also waiting for Kiss of Snow. Who needs to work when I could just pine for Hawke? Can't wait!

Oh yes! More H/S exerpts sounds good! (Maybe a sexy scene?)

May I ask.. Is it the paperback release set now? :)

I seem to learn to enjoy the long wait. Strange. Usually I'm extremely impatient :).

I'm currently preparing lunch for my dad and bro. Homemade lasagna and Greek salad. I haven't had such a "lazy" day like today in a long, long, looong time.

Oh, by the way: I wanted to mention, that I LOVED the ice-skating being a regular activity in hell metaphor in Archangel's Consort. I'm rereading chapter 5 because of that sentence :). It somehow... got me.

Reading some Gena Showalter in an attempt to fill the 102 day gap of no Nalini (excluding the highly anticipated excerpts, of course!). It's sadly not as filling as I'd hoped, but eh, I could always take a page out of all the other comment-ers and reread some of my favorites!

I'm spending some time this week catching up with normally-out-of-town-friends who are back in town for a limited amount of time. Weathering through the weather (this 3 degrees F nonsense is getting old) and wishing for those summer days when I don't have to stay inside all the time.

I hope the writing is going well! :)

Keep those rations coming! I'm just busy busy at work and really looking forward to the 3 day weekend here in the States. Maybe I could start Kresley Cole's latest IAD...well, I guess that last thought fell under the Friday Book Club entry. See, always thinking ahead.

I think what is great about your books is what the first couple of comments noted: your books are so re-readable! I was re-reading 'Branded by Fire' today and wondering about some of Mercy's brothers. There were intriguing hints about their characters and future stories! Any plans?
