Earthquake

I think all of you will have heard by now of the devastating quake that hit Christchurch, New Zealand, yesterday lunchtime.

I wanted to share this newspaper link with you that has information about essential services, including who to call if you're searching for information about friends/family members. There's also information about how to make donations to help the victims of the quake.

If you're on Twitter, you can follow the
#eqnz and #Chch hashtags for updated news.

Please keep the people of Christchurch in your thoughts.

I saw the news about the earthquake on the TV this morning while I was at the gym. As soon as I got to work, I went to your blog to see if you'd written any kind of "I'm okay, I'm alive!" note. Glad to read this one.

Sending positive thoughts in the direction of Christchurch.

They are in my thoughts - as were you and some other bloggers I know who live in New Zealand. I'm glad you and your family are good. It really struck home when I heard about it, how small the world is that even though this tragedy happened half way around the world, it was real to me since I know New Zealanders!

My thoughts to all who are directly and indirectly affected. The past couple of years have been quite extreme in terms of natural disasters and events.
