The Friday Book Club is now open! What are you reading and loving lately?

I'm reading a (fantabulous) book you might've heard of called Kiss of Snow. :D

That's just cruel, Nalini. My roommate and I are dying to read KoS. I can't even read any psy/changeling books because it makes me want to read it so much.

So currently I am reading the book "Immortal Champion" by Lisa Hendrix. I completely recommend her Immortal Brotherhood series

I agree, that was just mean. I am very, very, jealous! I want Hawke! I want Hawke! If I continue to chant will that make the book release faster? No? Aww, okay! *pouts* I'm just kidding, I know the book will be great when we do get to read it.

As for now, I am in the middle of Sherilynn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Somehow I am just discovering these books and devouring them very quickly. :)

I'm so VERY jealous! (even though you're the one who wrote the darn book) lol. I want Hawke time! I keep rereading all the Hawke and/or Sienna scenes. I'm not sure if that's relieving or adding to my torture. Oh when will June arrive?!

ps. Ben is so adorable!

Jennifer K. said...

You're a cruel one, aren't you, you tease! Are you going to have a drawing for KoS ARCs? Not that I ever win *sigh* but somebody will. If you have one. Soon. ...

I agree that's cruel. We all want to read KoS so badly! As for me, I'm doing a lot of rereading. I finished rereading Dinah Dean's The Ice King, part of her wonderful series set in early 19th-c. Russia. I'm in the middle of Tracy Fobes' Touch Not the Cat, and will probably do some more oldies while I wait for new books to be released...

I'm reading Court of the Air by Stephen Hunt, and adoring it. So good! But it's not a light read, so it's taking me a while.

:)

I agree with everyone you are Mean and Cruel...for teasing us like this....

I want to read KoS too..! So badly...when is June? Sigh...i never want to read a book so badly...I keep wondering how are you going to get them together as both are determined to hide their own feeling and keep their distance...

LoL....currently not reading anything yet...studying exam...i guess textbook can be counted as reading...LoL

I totally agree with her, BTW. I love that he really is a badass, not a cuddly wannabe.

:) Oh, how I wish I was reading Kiss of Snow, too!!! It's still such a loooooooooooooooooooooong time away till we can hold it in our hands!

I am currently reading JR Wards novella "Story of Son", it's quite cool :).

Oh please, Nalini, will you make the wait even more tormenting by telling us that we'll get to see Hawke all sweaty and awesome? :)

Anonymous said...

Yeah, reading it, too. Not so good as it seems before :(
Still know the pairing and I miss an important fact (what happened to Eden?)

kylie said...

Ditto to everyone's comments - outright cruelty regarding KoS! I've got a feeling KoS will be one of those books that will never end up on the shelf because I'll repeatedly go back to it when I need a smile and sigh. Anyway, I'm starting "Nightshade" by Michelle Rowen. Have a great weekend.

Madhura said...

Not fair, Nalini.

How about you give us a Valentine's weekend present in the form of a Sienna-Hawke snippet from KoS?

I am onto DreamFever by KMM. Love Jericho Barrons. He is such a mysterious character.

Nalini
I am half way through Archangels Consort, and trying to read it really slowly, and getting anxious as I get nearer the end of the book (not because of the plot line which is Fab, but because I'll have nothing to read once I finish this)After this I may start back to the Psy/Changeling series and read Slave to sensation and by the time I finish the series KoS maybe released YEAY!
Have a great weekend all from Raining dark London xxx

Talk about tease...

I'm starting the series again, just started Vaughn and Faith's book :)

I've booked annual leave from work to read Kiss of Snow uninterrupted, I have to not think about kiss of snow or I get all sad.

you really need to keep giving us snippets Nalini xx

I'm rereading Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniel serries. She has two new books coming out at the end of may and start of June. Why are all my favorite author's having books come out around this time? I'm planning on rereading the psy/changling books right after (Dying to read about Hawke. That should leave me with three months of reading to find to fill the time. Any ideas?

Anonymous said...

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH Madhura, you did give us a lovely Christmas present and you are a real softy when it comes to your devoted, loyal, committed fans :)

I am reading and loving Pack of Lies by Laura Anne Gilman. Truly recommended

I'm rereading Larissa Ione's Demonica series. I think I'll be rereading a fair amount until I can convince my parents that an Amazon gift cert would be the perfect gift for my birthday at the end of the month. My Kindle is in desperate need of new books!

*gasp* My preciousssss!
*rinses salt out of wound, sharpens teeth, and eyes Nalini's fingers*

In my reading queue is Shades of Twilight by Linda Howard, Nearlyweds by Beth Kendrick, then, hopefully by Tuesday, Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole.

*clears throat* Um, Nalini. If you need help editing KoS I'm more than happy to help. He he, uh, I mean, uh, yeah! *wink*

ah, all the snippets lately have had me re-reading my favorite psy-changeling stories even though I keep telling myself it's too early... that just means I'll have to re-read them again before May :) So far I've re-read Ria and Emmett's short story, and Annie and Zack's... next is probably StS!

Diane said...

Mean, that's just mean...
Another blurb might ease the pain.

Awwr, I hope you're enjoying it ;p I love the teasers and guess, the book'll be my favourite one *_*. Awwr, can wait, but it's really hard to.

Reading J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, the 16th book. Only 40 sites left, grr. And then I'm rereading all the Hawke/Sienne-moments plus either Clays&Tallys book or Kerstin Gier's "Smaragdgrün". Although the books that are mentioned here.. maybe I'm gonna order one of them :> Hehe. Gosh, I want to read KoS *gnn*. But I'm sure it's worth the wait. :)

I've just started 'Demon Hunts' by C.E. Murphy. Then I hope to finish the Gardella Vampire Chronicles by Colleen Gleason.

I started the Lucy Valentine Series by Heather Webber (cute)
and a YA the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent(not too bad for a YA series). I cannot wait for the new Kresley Cole this week!!!

Anonymous said...

LOL. Like your style Singh :)
I believe I like the tension and will enjoy the wait.... although I must admit that when it became available to be preordered I quickly paid for my copy.

Anyway I just found Liz Craven and am reading her Interplanetary Legue series and am rereading Missy Janes "They call me death".

Thanks for the posts guys I have found two authors I might try.

Sure, sure. Just rub that salt deep into our open wounds. ;)
I'm TRYING to read Angel's Blood in hopes of distracting myself from thoughts of KOS. It WAS working...

I just read the whole Dragon series of G.A. Aiken. Can´t remember when I had so much fun the last time! She really knows how to write funny conversations! However, I would kill myself with a family like that!

"The Cursed One" by Ronda Thompson.
Is there an chance that all psy/changeling books will be released in hard cover in the futur? I love hard covers, I think they look great in the bookshelf.

I am so jealous.... I have read the first chapter you posted for us of KOS many many times and then have all my favorites parts bookmarked from Play of Passion on the Kindle. I just reread them and I am dying here. I think I will have to take the day off when it comes out I am going to do that for JR Ward in March for the next BDB. What I reading right now is H.P. Mallory and Hearher Killough-Walden on the kindle. They are both pretty great.

Just finished Kresley Cole's latest release that came out on Tuesday - I wasn't sure how she was going to handle a "hero" that tortured the heroine but I think she pulled it off....wow. Then yesterday I discovered Carolyn Jewel and stayed up waaaaaay too late last night reading her mage/demon series - My Wicked Enemy, My Forbidden Desire and My Immortal Assassin - I have fallen into like!
