Not too good, just came home from the hospital with my daughter; she's got strep throat, they think. It's late and now all I want is my bed.

I'm rearing a couple of gull chicks who fell off a neighbour's roof and were abandoned by their parents. Since they're still at the fluffy stage they are pretty cute, but messy. So very messy *sigh* I have to go bath them now.

I think their mother pushed them off the roof for being dumb ;D

I have to learn so much and I don't really want to.
But I had breakfast with a good friend today and that was really fantastic. :)
And since I normally like to learn new things, it's can be classified as a normal, good week. And I can look forward to my holiday in one and a half week!!

Today I take a half day off for housework. Tomorrow I`m on a congress and workshop, about addiction, in Munich. Friday I have to go to the funeral of my husband`s grandmother and Saturday I´m on my brother`s birthday party.

P.S.: Cheer up to the sick!

On the downside my daughter has a cold but on the upside today we hit the shops for some retail therapy. I am telling you there is nothing better than your teenage daughter saying, Mum, I want to check out the book section, when a year ago the only thing she read was magazines. Thank you Stephanie Meyer, those Twilight books may not be to everyones tastes but they got my girl reading so YAY!

I having been taking care of three kittens that someone put in a box in the middle of our street. When my daughter found them, their eyes where barely open and they were very dirty. We took them to the vet and got a bottle and kitten milk to bottle feed them. The vet said they were about one week old. Now three weeks later, they are thriving and very playful.

Busy! We're having a garage sale this weekend and the most labor-intesive prep is going through all my daughter's clothes that she's grown out of and deciding what to keep and what to sell. I keep looking at her old outfits and thinking "she was wearing this when she _____" It's a fun trip down memory lane. :)

Also, I think my baby boy (13 months) may have swallowed a AAA battery. Eek. LOL

Hey Nalina,

My name is Igor and I am editor of the Lit!, A Brazilian publication scheduled for release in September (right after the Biennial), which aims to stimulate young people's taste in books. For this, we are organizing a volume one absolutely spectacular and we'd appreciate you for that. It would be an honor for us if he could give us an interview. The questions would be sent by email and can be answered by Jule 30.
And if not asking too much, we would ask for an autographed copy of "Angels Blood" to draw. This is because the community of fans Nalina Singh' sis huge (in the social network Orkut,
the most popular in Brazil, with 75% of Brazilian Internet
registrations, the group Angel's Blood hits the home of 15.000) and it draws the attention of young people who are the main target in our task. In the first volume, we Alyson Noël, Becca Fitzpatrick, Sarwat Chadda, Danielle Trussoni, Lauren Kate and if you agree, you.

We look back until Jule 15 at the latest

A big hug

CRAP actually...I have had a cold for a week now and I hate it! NZ Weather at this time of year is just horrid! First it was the kids and now me!

I hate it most of all as it really slows down my reading! :(

However I am still at work slaving away! LOL
