Blaze of Memory Blurb
Here's the blurb for Blaze of Memory (Nov). A hint - there's a bit of a "twist" when it comes to the heroine's name. Who is she? *grin*

You are such a tease!!!
I was thinking of someone if the heroine was a past character appeared in previous books.
Now I have to with until November to find out.
*squealing* Ooo!!! It sound so good. It took me a minute to remember we haven't even read Mercy's book yet and we've got the blurb for Dev's already?!? Yay!!
I've got my theories on the "mystery" woman, but since I'm the first to post...I'll keep them to myself.
Ha! May, we posted at the same time! Jinx! =)
I'm obnoxious. It's Ekaterina, isn't it?? She's alive!! Wheee!
Dee I think that you are right...I just reread the series and that makes the most sense. I never believed that she was 'killed' by the council..
Fantastic blurb, Nalini. I soooo can't wait for this one!
Intriguing blurb! And I love the cover. He looks super-cool!
This is such a wonderful year. I love that blurb. Very glad you are writing Dev's story :D.
OK, the heroine (and I think Dee & Heather you may be right) is SO not who I thought it was :(
orannia = world's worst detective!
It will be so interesting to see where the overall plot arc goes with this book. Things are a-cooking *grin*
Squee! Nalini, you're a wicked tease. I'm thinking it's Ekaterina, too, but I would never have come to that conclusion on my own. LOL
Dee - I think you're right; how else can you get the name Katya?
Stripped of her memories by a shadowy oppressor, and programmed to carry out cold-blooded murder, Katya Haas is fighting desperately for her sanity itself.
Hmmm.... Is the 'shadowy oppressor' Kaleb...or Ming? Maybe the entire council.

*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
*bouncing*
me want, me want, me want!!!
Waiting is sooo hard!! I just love this series!! I cannot wait to see where this takes us!
is it impossible she is Sahara(Faith's cousin)? (you know, from Haas you can have Saha..)
and Nalini said that she wanted to trite about her.
When is november here? O wait, first July because Mercy's book arrives. Can I skip to november after that?
The blurb is really intriguing (do I write this right? O dear, my English even stutters at the moment).
Hmmm excellent blurb. Could she be the shadow?
Only the shadow knows. Also hoping there is a lot of Kaleb in this one :D
Oh, this sounds so exciting! I love this series and waiting until to November is going to be sooooo hard.
Yay, yay, yay! *dances around* I can't wait, I can't wait! More, more, more ... always want more!!!!
Excerpts, as always, are welcome. I don't know how much more blunt I can be!
Jennifer K.
This is great! Can't wait 'til it comes out.
Thanks Nalini!
Nalini, you`re smart:).
- That`s one of the reasons why I adore your work.

yay! i'm guessing ekaterina too!
I wonder which excerpt we'll get at the back of mercy and riley's book, arcangel's kiss or blaze of memory? both?!?
on a side note, thanks nalini for introducing me to sj day's marked series. loved the first one and i'm so happy i'll get two books in june, which will tie me over nicely till your book in july :)

Oh, Nalini, Blaze of Memory sounds so good!!!! I can't wait! ^.^
yeah I'm drawing a blank, who was Ekaterina?
EKaterina--assuming I'm remembering her name right-is Ashaya's assistant, the one Ming "killed" in the implosion, with the others.
She was cool peoples. Really hated that she died. I'm crossing my fingers this is her. And guessing the shadow is Ming. He's not about to give up on the Forgotten.
What happen to Ashaya's sister?? And what was her name again? I thought it was Ekaternia... or.. no sorry it was Amara... maybe its her??
Are you going to tell us Nalini? Or are you going to leave us hanging on edge until November! That's still 6 months away!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait that long!!!!!
Darn! And here I had my heart set on Nikita being the Heroine.
I didn't think Ekaterina's skillset included killing abililities.
Are you going to tell us Nalini? Or are you going to leave us hanging on edge until November!Suspense will make the eventual unveiling more exciting *grin*
My first thought was Amara, too, oh the suspense of waiting.
I think the ones who said Ekaterina are correct. As y'all said, it makes the most sense.
Whoever it is, that blurb sounds AWESOME. Nalini-you are the queen. I bow down before you & all that good stuff. :D
Ekaterina would make a lot of sense, since Katya would then be her nickname in the slavic tradition, everyone has like four or five names that all derive from one name, and each of them used in a different occasion. Only, that wouldn't make sense with 'Haas', Dutch for hare (the animal), since it comes from a Germanic language family. On the other hand, Psy do like to mix it up, right?
To be honest, I like hare as the choice for a last name, since she really is on the run, and fleeing from a very fierce predator indeed. On the other hand, they're fighters too, bounding against each other in great leaps, with big full-body clashes in mid-air. And they can race each other at mind-boggling speeds.
And if Ming was ready to rip Ashaya's mind wide open in the book, then it would make sense that he wouldn't have any qualms doing that to her friend. And then send her into the enemy camp as a single-use weapon. He would probably see the added trauma if they ever came face to face again, and Ashaya saw her friend as a killer, as a bonus. Psychological warfare of the cruellest kind.
Your villains really can be very evil. I like them. On that note, I'm seconding the motion for lots of Kaleb-time. He's really cool.
