Links & Inspiration

I saw this on the NZ Herald site and found it incredibly inspiring - it's a short piece on an injured British soldier, Major Phil Packer, who completed the London Marathon two weeks after starting it.

Also, a couple of links to blogs giving away copies of my books - Meljean Book (Angels' Blood) & new author Suzanne McLeod (Visions of Heat or Mine to Possess).

I spent the past week reading and watching dvds, but it's back to work today. I'm going to polish up a novella, then start working on the next Psy/Changeling book.

What're you all up to?

Thank you for the heads up Nalini! I saw a news clip last night on Major Phil Packer. I think he's amazing, and kudos to the London Marathon organizers for letting him complete the marathon over 2 weeks!

I'm going to polish up a novella...Ohhhh. Can I ask who it's about please?

And did you say you're starting the next Psy/Changeling novel? *bounce bounce* Hmmm....I wonder who this one will be about? Can we bribe you for hints please Nalini :)

The novella's about Ria, Lucas's executive assistant. :)

Can't say much about the next Psy/Changeling book. Still working it out in my head.

I had a wisdom tooth removed 3 days ago, so the vicodin might have helped this along, but I finished Hostage to Pleasure last night before bed and had a delicious dream about being a wereleopard and hanging out with all the alpha men in DarkRiver.

I've been wondering, how large are the SnowDancer and DarkRiver packs? I get the feeling SnowDancer is bigger. And about how large are their territories?

I am trying to get excited about mowing my lawn, (but secretly wishing it will rain so I don't have to) Maybe I will just start a new book instead!

Good luck with the new novella Nalini!

NEXT Psy/Changeling book?
I'm really glad Ria gets a story of her own, her past life was mentioned a little in HtP. Do you know when Ria's story might be released? As for the 8th Psy/Changeling...I have ideas (which, as you know, will probably be the opposite of what the story actually is!)

I saw that clip on the news last night, Nalini, and I think the look on his face as he crossed that line said it all.

Ouch about the tooth, but at least you got a delicious dream out of it. To answer your question, SnowDancer is the biggest pack in the U.S. Their territory covers all of California, except the part that's held by DarkRiver.

DarkRiver is much smaller, holding the greater San Francisco area (the exact area is described in Slave to Sensation), but they punch way above their weight class.

Katherine - I watched the entire first season in two days. Now I'm jonesing for the next one.

Thanks, Orannia :)

Tina, no, I have no idea about the novella, but it's likely to be 2010 sometime. That's only a guess - more info when I have it.

Yvonne - it was wonderful, wasn't it?

Woo hoo, a novella about Ria - sounds GREAT! I love, love, LOVE anthologies or will this novella be released another way?

Wow! I am so impressed about how far ahead it seems you are in writing your novels, Nalini. How do you do it?

I thought the SnowDancers outnumbered the DarkRiver cats but we know Lucas group may be small in number but is mighty!

I am back at work doing invoicing (the most drudgery in my job) and I have some other stuff like that. I am hoping to get back to my workout routine, I've been absent long enough my clothes are getting tight. *sigh* Some battles are never-ending.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Is the next novel about Hawke? Huh, huh? Is it? Come on, Nalini, spill! You know I've been waiting, like, FOR-ever for Hawke. Yes, that's right. FOR-ever!

Hi, Nalini!!!

I support Jen, any chance we´ll have Hawk and Sienna´s book anytime soon?? Pretty pleeeeaaaaase??? :)

Ah, and I have a great movie to recommend, "Star Trek". I´m no t a trekkie, that is a die hard Star Trek fan, but this movie ROCKS!!!

PS: Are we going to learn something new about Faith´s lost cousin??? So many possibilities, so little time for you to write all the books we want ;)

Ria! Woohoo! I was hoping for her story.

I second Bel's suggestion. Star Trek was great!

Very excited about a new novella!

I am currently working my way through a new addiction to Bollywood films! It started with Jodhaa Akbar which made me fall in love with Hrithik Roshan. I've been watching all of his movies for the past week. I think Aryan from Dhoom 2 might be the perfect man. lol

Julia - these are rough numbers from my head, but I see DR has having several hundred members, and SD has having several thousand.

Eva - the next book is still a work in progress, so I'll tell you a bit about it later on ;-)

Una - I'm usually one book ahead, but this year it's worked out to two. I have to be careful not to give away spoilers when I'm talking to people!

Jennifer K - alas, not yet.

Bel/Amy - I'm planning to go see ST! As for Sahara, wait and see, wait and see *g*

Christy - isn't he fantastic? I love those two movies of his!

I think I caught all the questions, but if I didn't, please re-post.
