Book Tour: Dead to Me - Anton Strout

Today, I've got a book tour for you from debut author Anton Strout. Check out the details below!

DEAD TO ME
Anton Strout
Feb 26, 2008

Welcome to the Department of Extraordinary Affairs Other Division—New York’s answer to the underfunded world of paranormal investigation. It’s a job caught up in red tape, memos, and office politics, but its becoming par for the course for recent recruit Simon Canderous.

After a life of petty crime and twenty four years of watching his power of psychometry—the ability to divine information solely by touching an object—destroy any chance of a real relationship, he’s joined the forces of Good hoping to gain some control. But when the mysterious ghost of a recently dead woman shows up at the Lovecraft CafĂ©, he and his mentor must figure out how she fits into a nefarious plot involving the cultists rights movement, a large wooden fish, and the forces of Darkness crushing on him.

REVIEWS

“Simon Canderous is a reformed thief and a psychometrist. By turns despondent over his luck with the ladies (not always living) and his struggle with the hierarchy of his mysterious department (not always truthful), Simon’s life veers from crisis to crisis. Following Simon’s adventures is like being the pinball in an especially antic game, but it’s well worth the wear and tear.”

- Charlaine Harris, author of the Sookie Stackhouse series, soon to an HBO series True Blood by Alan Ball

"Imagine if Harry Dresden or Angel had to work in a poorly run office dealing with office politics and red tape. It's a terrific debut"

-Cameron Hughes, WWW.CHUD.COM

Woo, new book. Isn't this book by one of the League of Reluctant Adults? Is there romance in here? Ms. Nalini? Anyone? And please tell me it's not with the ghost.

I need new books! Any steamy romance out there? Non-violent ones though. So many of the hot stuff are violent laced. *sigh* My Gena Showalter's books aren't in yet. And I've gone through the news ones. Need more stories. >_<

Ohhhh, that sounds good Nalini! *am off to hunt it down on the library catalogue*

Alice - how steamy are we talking? And do you want contemporary, paranormal or historical romance?

UGGGGGG!!!..

My wishlist on Amazon.com is over 10 pages long. I'm going to need another room just for all the books I want to buy. :)

Thanks for the talking about the book. Looks interesting. (Here is Miss I don't do Urban Fantasy.. adding another one to her list)

I agree with Orannia. The book sounds fascinating. Love the whole Angel/Desden analogy!

Nalini - I found the perfect Dorian model! Check out the cover for Elijah by Jacquelyn Frank. If he's not the perfect yummy "stupidly beautiful" Dorian, I don't know who is!

Alice - It's not steamy but I loved the "Lord of the Fading Lands" and the "Lady of Light and Shadow" by CL Wilson. I have found that Emma Holly is always good for steamy and not violent. For some fun and giggles there's always "Position of the Day" published by nerve.com

You're all invited for dinner! I made a boatload of bolognese sauce and if I eat it all I will have to wear a sign with little red flags warning people of "wide load". Being unemployed has given me WAY too much time to cook and eat! *grumble, sigh*

Orannia~anything's good. I just want some fun stuff without it be like pulling teeth. I'll take all genres. I just need something.

Amy/Aymless- I have been contemplating CL Wilson, but are her stuff drama drama? I don't know if I'll be able to handle those gut-wrenchers lately. I'd love to take some food off your hands, but you're up too far >_<.

Thank you both for helping.
Best,
alice
