Exhausted and Loving It

I've just turned in Visions of Heat (my second book for Berkley) so yay! I loved, loved, loved working on that book. Next week, I'm getting revisions for my next Desire (which looks like it might be moved up from April to February next year).

In between, I plan to have a rest. I'm actually not much good at this - I'm currently working on a project that I am dying to get off the ground because I'm so excited about it. However, I am going to try because my shoulders are stiff and I'm pretty sure I'm talking to my characters in my sleep. There is a fine line between dedication and obsession...I think I crossed it a few years back when I began writing on the bus during the commute to my previous job. *g*

So, what's everyone else up to?

I'm taking a break from my current project, to go to another one temporarily. It needs fixing.

I managed to write through to the end of a novel. Why can't I do that with a novella? LOL.

You will be holding a contest for ARCs? *looks hopeful*

Hi Milady - good luck with that novella.

Re ARCs, I'm hoping to hold a contest but just depends if I get enough ARCs! So fingers crossed. :)

Wow! another book on the way, that is great!
Does Berkley have a website, to buy the books online?
Do you plan to have a contest for "Slave to Sensation"?
Too many questions ah?
I can't wait to get my hands in that book, it sounds like it's going to be a good one.

Hey, Nalini. I'm currently working on book three of my New Zealand Knights miniseries for Silhouette Desire, then my next contracted Desire and a synopsis for a continuity book... I've also started reading Allison Brennan's The Prey (with the following two books in my to-be-read pile after I've caught up with Secrets in the Marriage Bed ;-) )

Remind me again why I thought it would be good for my kids to play sport? Both my netballers (one's been selected to play in an under-15 rep. team as well) are eating up all my writing time with coaching, training and playing! ARGH!

Any chance you'll have any advance copies of Slave for the RWNZ conference in August?

Barbara - there can never be too many questions! lol

Berkley does have an online site :) My book's not up on there yet butit looks like you can order books 2-3 months in advance. The site is http://berkleyjoveauthors.com

Yup, there will be a contest. I just haven't decided what and when!

Yvonne - crikey, you sound busy! Congrats on your daughter for making the rep team (time sink though it is! *g*)

I can't wait to read about your NZ Knights. They sound fabulous! :)

I'm not sure when my advance copies will come in, so fingers crossed for the conference.
