My year is off to a good start reading-wise. My favorite book this week was Jayne Ann Krentz' The Shop on Hidden Lane. It's a fun stand-alone set in the same world as her Bluestone Project and Arcane Society, though you do not need to be familiar with either to enjoy this book. Plus there's a dog!
I quite enjoyed Melissa Erin Jackson's A Mythical Discovery (Mythical Pet Sitting Mystery #3.5). It set chronologically between books one and two in the series, but was just published. This series is paranormal cozy mystery with a slow-burn romance which more people need to read.
I also liked Meg Benjamin's The Tomato Jam Murder (Luscious Delights #6).
