Finished book 2 of M.L. Longworth's Verlaque and Bonnet Porvencal mysteries. Fairly slow paced but wonderful sense of place. Listening to Shelly Laurenston's Crow series - definitely not slow paced but great for the gym. Read in one sitting Mary Balogh's Someone Perfect.
I just finished the new short story, and now I want more!!! I agree, I want Zuli and Alejandro's story to become a full book!!!!! Please, please, please??!!!
I've been having trouble reading much for the last few months, partially due to pandemic stress, and partly other things. But I have been making a concerted effort to make some progress with my pile of library books, and a non-fiction one I read recently that I loved was "The Little Book of Autism FAQs: How to Tell your Child About Their Diagnosis and Other Conversations" by Davida Hartman. It was originally puclished in Ireland, but my local bookstore has it in their computers, so presumably that means it's not that hard to get internationally. It was far more positive and optimistic than I've seen on the subject in a long time. (at least by a professional in the field.)
I also loved a short story in the science fiction anthology "Tide of Battle" by Michael Williamson. I forget the name of it, but apparently there are full length novels in the series (a duology, or possibly a trilogy to my knowledge, not really sure). The series is balled "Clan of the Claw". It's a multi-author wolrd/universe apparently. My library only has one of them, but it's been added to my TBR list!
I am re reading allegiance of honour, I started to read the short story in the newsletter this morning but Gmail ate it so I don't know how it ended... Hopefully it'll appear on the website one-day 😞
katsblog - if you mean that Gmail cut it off, there's a link in the email (at the start of the short) that takes you to a web page that has the whole thing. If you mean it actually disappeared from your inbox for some reason, if you know someone who also gets the newsletter perhaps they can forward it to you? I'd post the link here but not sure if the website would like me doing that.

Furthermore, I recently got the tip that these books are free during Christmas. Maybe someone wants to try out a new author?

Loved Olivia Wildenstein's The Lost Clan Series so much. It's on KU. I finished all 5 books in a couple days. My reading from Book#5 first, worked out perfectly. Book 1? Pretty terrible! Most of the readers couldn't even finish it! (DNF!) Had I started from Book #1, I might've walked away, too.
Music in the Rain was a lovely Christmas present, thank you Nalini! Im reading the Fire of the Frost anthology mentioned above (1st comment). I’ve got this week off, I’ll get some reading done now Christmas Day is over! AndreaH
Rereading Last Guard - absolutely loved the small bit where Max hugs Celian. Would love to see more interaction with sensitive/natural shields in another book. Also loved Music in the Rain and hoping that we will see more of Zuli and Alejandro

I read the new version of Grace Draven's King of Hel. It's part of an anthology. I liked the changes made in the book.

On the new book front, I loved Lindsay Buroker's Chosen for Power (Dragon Gate #4).
I also loved Music in the Rain. Such a poignant short story. I hope we see Zuli in the full-length books soon.

As for reading, this week I am reading "Raven" by Audrey Faye, it's from her heartwarming series about shifters, I really recommend the whole series!
