Finished A Warm Heart in Winter by JR Ward (excellent), and am rereading the Sons of Gulielmus series by Holley Trent before starting The Angel’s Desire, the very last of the Gulielmus books; it just came out on Kobo.

Just finished the audio book of Archangel's Sun and am already eagerly anticipating the next book. Am finishing up listening to Nora Roberts Hideaway. Just started reading in real book form (the library is open - yay!, well at least for now) Stamped From the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi. A slow read because it's not an easy read, but an important one.

I enjoyed Nora Roberts' The Awakening (The Dragon Heart Legacy #1).

Loved Jessie Mihalik's The Queen's Triumph (Rogue Queen #3).

Currently reading Meg Benjamin's Wild Love the long-delayed final entry in her Brewing Love trilogy. It released in April but I was struggling to read contemporaries most of this year, so waited to read it.

I also read The Queen's Triumph by Jessie Mihalik.

Read Rock Hard. I needed to read Charlie and Gabriel's story.

Now I'm reading Rock Addiction. 🙂

Finished Archangel's Sun. Loved it so much I had to go and buy it in print yesterday. (had been reading the library's ecopy) First Guild Hunter I've bought. (the library discard of Archangel's Prophecy doesn't count.) Gonna have to read Archangel's War now, to get a little context. If that goes well, I may have to start at the beginning! (or With Archangel's Prophecy since I own it).

Couldn't help but notice a few parallels with the PsyChangeling series. Both worlds are dealing with cataclysmic forces, and both are making it through. Many of the characters have traumatic histories (which Nalini handles so well!). And #3: some variant of an almost universal belief/practice of "Cubs are to be protected!!" - except for the villains. If only the real world worked that way.

These parallels do make me more curious about the author's motivation for writing such things!

Not sure what I'm going to read next. Probably some non-fiction for a change of pace. Got a couple library books that have to go back at the end of the month that I've been slow to get to.

Oh, BTW, I did finish the "Power of Different" last week, but was quite disappointed in the last few chapters, and the author's dichotomy between "brains that function differently", and "mentally healthy" brains!! As if all forms of difference are forms of mental illness!! (her words!) ... Anyways, I won't go on, but in case anyone saw my earlier comments where I was liking the book (aside from some minor but glaring factual errors), though I'd update my perspective on it.

I have read and re-read G.A. Aikens The Princess Knight and the first book in the series The Blacksmith Queen. Like Nalini Singh, anything from Aiken a.k.a Shelly Laurenston is a must read 20x.
