Friday Book Club

Friday Book Club time! What are you reading and loving this week?

I read Rachel Bach's fantastic Paradox Trilogy - great sf with a tough, strong heroine and enough romance to satisfy my romance loving heart.

Okay, your turn!

Read a "Thank You" excerpt from Ilona Andrews this morning about Hugh (yep, that Hugh of the Iron Dogs). After reading it, I wanted to root for him until I remembered what he did to Kate and Curran. Then I wanted to smack him upside the head. It was a nice surprise. :)

Just started reading new to me authors that I really love. Mariana Zapata and Melanie Moreland. No big angst and miscommunication but awesome couple development.

Just finished the Queen of All that Dies trilogy by Laura Thalas. I wasn't sure about it because it is somewhat different from my usual, but I actually ended up re-reading all three books because something about it stuck with me. It has some romance but it is a gritty story that details the reality and sacrifice of war from both sides. The heroine is very strong willed and her character is well developed.
