I got my copy of Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen by Lois McMaster Bujold. I love it! I laughed so hard last night while reading it, I had to cough. Then I keep asking myself "What's next???" The Vorkosigan series is one of my favorites (it is my favorite of all the sci-fi books).
For those who read the series, this book takes place 3 years after Aral's death on Sergyar (yes, Miles, Ekaterine and their 6 children show up). Cordelia and Admiral Oliver Jole get together. :)
Currently reading Christine Feehan's Spider Game, book 12 in her GhostWalkers series. I have some major issues with the hero and his attitude, but liking the heroine a lot.
I have been rereading Lora Leigh's Seal Trilogy and Elite Ops series. One more to go which I will likely finish this weekend then I need to find something new. I have heard of Lois McMaster Bujold several times on this blog so I think I will check her out. Also, Ilona Andrews has started to post their third Innkeeper Chronicle - One Fell Sweep - on their website so it is making Fridays a little happier.
I am reading `The Brimstone Deception` by L. Shearin, too. The series is very fast-paced, funny and witty ;-)! I also read `Voyage of the Defiance`by S.E.Smith. It`s a YA book about a girl trying to find her way in life. The style is warm-hearted and the story captivating.
@ladyreadsalot66 if you start reading the Vorkosigan series by Lois McMaster Bujold, the first book is called "Shards of Honor". This book is about how Aral Vorkosigan and Cordelia Naismith meet. If you want to read about Miles (their son) and want to find out how Miles meets his wife, Ekaterine, read "Komarr" then "A Civil Campaign". I love "A Civil Campaign". It is so funny and at the same time serious.
I am re-reading while waiting for "Spider Game" by Feehan and Brotherhood in Death by Robb from the library. This week I read most of the 'Sarah and Max' series by Charlotte MacLeod and "Calculated in Death" by Robb. The MacLeod mysteries are light-hearted cozies with a touch of humor. Just the thing since I wasn't feeling well for part of the week. :-)
I just discovered Alice CLayton. She writes contemporary Romance which is half humor half drama. She's really good. Most of her books have some kind of connection to each other. Two of the trilogies deal with the same couples which is usually really hard to write but she pulls it off. I've been devouring her books for the last week. There is her Cocktail Series (Wallbanger, Last Call, Rusty Nailed, Screwdrivered, and Mai Tai'd Up) her earlier Readhead series (The Unidentified Redhead, The Redhead Revealed, The Redhead Plays her Hand), and I think she is starting a new series she is calling the Hudson Valley series the first book is called Nuts and the next one is going to be called Cream of the Crop.
Also another of my favorites Elizabeth Hunter just came out with Imitation Alchemy from her Elemental Legacy series.
I'm on a huge reading binge right now and would love some good pure sci fi. Thinking of going for the old big boys with Arthur C Clarke Rama series.

Just finished "The Brimstone Deception" by Lisa Shearin. Her 3rd book in the SPI files series. Excellent!

Discovered a really enjoyable 'epic fantasy' book.
Series king's dark tidings.
Book 1 - free the darkness
Book 2 - reign of madness
Really good books, really want to know what happens next!
