Friday Book Club

It's book club time! What are you reading and loving this week?

I managed to get my excited hands on the new The Lost anthology, and have so far read the first two novellas (by JD Robb & Patricia Gaffney). Loved them both! Looking forward to the stories by Mary Blayney and Ruth Ryan Langan.

Okay, your turn!

I'm currently reading Shadow Magic (Jaida Jones & Danielle Bennett), the sequel to HaveMercy. So far, so good.

Waiting for me at the library are Fragile Eternity (Melissa Marr) and What Remains of Heaven (CS Harris) - a plethora of riches. Which to read first? Although, I don't think I'll be reading much this weekend as I need to get my new computer working. Broadband here I come *grin* Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Goodness, my library got busy, I have three books waiting to pick up after I just picked up six!

So far I have read Catching Fire, the sequel to the The Hunger Games which was fantastic and Tempted the latest book in the House of Night series, which I thought was the best book so far in the series.

I've almost completed the anthology Unbound that contains a story from Kim Harrison, Melissa Marr, Jeaniene Frost, Vicki Pettersson and Jocelynn Drake. Only one story to go and so far it's been really good (LOVED the Bone's story by Frost).

I, too, wish everyone a fabulous weekend!!

Zero at the Bone by Jane Seville was fabulous! And Blood Vice by Keith Melton was very, very good, too. Any week in which I read two books that good is a week to remember.

I have The lost but haven't had the chance to read it yet; actually I haven't read all week which is very strange for me, but I guess I'm in a "funk". I'll get back to it

I just finished The Lost last night. All the stories were great. Of course I loved the JD Robb one but I also loved the one by Ruth Ryan Langan. It was one of the best stories I have read in a while.

I have just started "The Others" series by Christine Warren, up to book two right now. I have so many great reads in my TBR pile, that I don't know where to start next. Maybe Night Magic by Karen Robards or Wicked by Gregory Maguire. Unbound sounds great Una I will have to check it out thanks! :)

Java Programming, From Problem Analysis to Program Design by D.S. Malik. A convoluted, poorly edited, entirely-too-expensive, and overall BORING explanation of how to do what I want to do with my life.

Can you tell its final exam season?

Just finished The Most Wicked of Sins (Kathryn Caskie) and Missing in Death (JD Robb) both were great. Trial by Fire (JA Jance) and A Highlander Christmas are next. Have a great weekend.

I've been rereading your books so I'm currently on Hostage to Pleasure and plan to reread the next two over the weekend. After that, it will depend what I feel like reading...

I've been busy wrting and drooling over those hot Romulans on Star Trek, not to mention numero uno hottie, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. Anyone else? hehe
I just finished 'High Five' in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels and started listening to 'Hot Six' on audio in the same series. Hilarious!
I'm thinking of reading 'Snowy Night With a Stranger' a holiday anthology with Jane Feather and Sabrina Jeffries. Came out last year, but have been waiting for winter to really appreciate it. *grin*

Orianna, I read the CS Harris few weeks ago, really good, and sort of a cliffhanger at the end (as to relationships). Now I wish the next was coming out sooner.

I just finished All He Desires by Anthea Lawson, very good, takes place in Greece, then back to England latter part of book. Hero disillusioned doctor who won't practice, cut himself off from everyone he knows. She was orphaned early (brother's story in last year's Passion), taken in by uncle, now involved in helping other orphans. Falls from horse, injured on island, villagers take her to him. He reluctantly treats her, concussed so confined to bed, they become friends, then the passion, and healing for him. I liked her debut book, but this one is better, loved it.

Just finished "Soulless" by Gail Carriger and loved it. It wasn't too dark and had a fiesty heroine. It takes place in alternative Victorian England. Is that called steam punk?

Sadly, my reading this week has all been for work, and I am getting even more work-related books as I have to pick books for next semester.

I did pick up Aiden's charity at my library's book sale! Great, great deal! ($1!). If all else fails, I can read it in 2 weeks when the semester is over.

I robbed my library of all j.d. robb books they had. Let me tell you, there are lots of them! I don´t really read them in the right order but I manage and I just love them! Roarke is sooo perfect. Nearly as perfect as changelings^^. But I have to write an essay so I don´t have enough time to read!
