I'm not too thrilled when the guy's head is cut off. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love seeing a nice body and some ripped abs and everything, but it's somewhat disturbing when you see the lips and chin, but the top part of his head is gone. Weird.
Jennifer - normally, I find that a bit weird too. But have you seen the cover for Kiss of the Highlander by Karen Marie Moning? Hubba hubba! What a pair of lips. If anyone wants to divulge who the model is, i'll get my stalking gear ready.
I`m the opinion that a book cover should show something about the story inside the book. And if not, then it`s better to have a unicolour cover with an interesting script nameplate/interesting object in front of it. It`s also interesting how different the bookcovers in America and German are. E.g. if you compare the love novels so you can see that the german covers become, since a few years, really kitschy.(Almost a bit boring. The covers seems to be allways of the same kind of picture). The American covers`re more visionary. I really like this.
So far I like the StS cover best. I like the "cat"-eyes of the model. It suits well with the story:-).
I have to say I love your covers Nalini (especially the leopard pattern :) My favourite though is the cover for STS!
I also love the new Anne Bishop covers, although they are for the US market and not for the Australasian market. I was reading somewhere (I can't remember where) that the reason the covers can differ between countries is that the publishers feel that a particular cover will attract more readers in certain countries versus others.
I love blue covers. Don't know what it is, but a blue/teal cover will grab me every time!
Jennifer, that's funny, because I'm the opposite. I kind of prefer when the face is cut off. Leaves more to my imagination -- but yes, give me the chest! *g*

I'm enjoying Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld covers. Hmmmm.... what? Oh, sorry, I mentally wandered off there for a moment. ;-)
And the Hostage to Pleasure cover is smoking hot, of course!

Karen - thanks :)
Jennifer - hmm, I don't mind that really. It gives more room to imagine the character as I see him.
Daphne - lol!
Tracy - glad you like the HtP cover. And Gena's covers are hawt.
Eva - I like the StS cover, too. My first German cover is pretty cool too, I think. But it is interesting how covers are different in dif countries.
Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party :(

Nalini, of course! The "Leopardenblut" cover is adorable!
