My library calls and let's us know when the books are a day or too overdue so I have to admit, I've never been *that* late. Of course, we live in a small city so that's why they can call. I don't imagine larger centers do this.

I gladly pay the fines though. A library is a wonderful place.

I get really mad at myself when I forget to return library books.

I've been to libraries where they have trouble calculating fines for 2 days over. Can't imagine having them calculate 50 years!

Meretta - you are so lucky!

Emma - LOL. The payer actually calculated it himself because he really wanted to pay!
