It's become strangely quiet in the cybersphere over the last couple of days as so many romance readers and writers head off to the RWA national conference in Reno, Nevada. So I feel compelled to ask - is anybody (besides me) still here?
If you are, how about answering this question - if you could be any animal in the world, what would you be? Me, I think I'd like to be able to fly, so I'd be a bird - maybe a raptor. (No jokes about birdbrains please.) :)

From the overwhelming response to this post, it's now official - I am the only animal in the zoo. ;)
I would be a black panther. I think they're sleek and have pretty eyes.
I like the way they prowl when they walk.
No Reno for me this year. Perhaps next year. I like Atlanta....
If I could be an animal I'd be a turtle. Home on my back, travel at will, lay eggs and let the sea raise my babies so I could avoid the "he's looking at me" tantrums. Oh yeah.
Plus, no one fusses if you move slow. ;)
Kendra - not to tease you, but there's a black panther in my Berkley book and prowling's one of things he does best. :)
Laynie - never really thought about turtles but you're right, they have a lot going for them. I'm thinking about Atlanta too but no decisions yet.
