Blaze of Memory won Best Futuristic Romance and received an Honorable Mention in the Favorite Overall Romance category

Must Love Hellhounds won Best Anthology (award shared with the awesome Charlaine Harris, Ilona Andrews & Meljean Brook)

Angels' Blood won Best Fantasy/Magical Romance

Branded By Fire won Best Shapeshifter Romance

To celebrate, I'm going to give away a copy of each of these books.

To enter the draw, leave a comment with your answer to the question at the end of this post by Sunday 4th April 2010, 4pm New Zealand time.

I'll pick four random winners. To make it easier on me to allocate the books, when you answer the question, leave a note if you'd like any one particular book. (Also, please either leave some way for me to contact you if you win, or check back on Monday to see if you're a winner.)

Question: If you could take one fictional character home (for tea, for drinks, for wild and crazy hijinks...whatever you desire! *grin*), who would you choose?

Blaze of Memory Spoiler Thread Now Up!

If you want to discuss Blaze with spoilers, follow this link. The link is also available in the sidebar of the blog (just scroll down a little) -->

(I'm going to close comments on this post to avoid confusion).

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...

I've had a few questions about when I'll be holding another Q&A session - the answer is probably sometime next year. I'm still recovering from the last one *collapses* Just kidding. But they do take a bit of time, so I need to schedule them when I can devote a few hours to answering questions. I'll put up a note in advance when it happens.

Also, do you all want a Blaze of Memory Spoiler thread? Let me know and I'll set one up.

I'm working on Indigo's book today, and I've started sketching out parts of the next Guild Hunter book as well. More news to come as I get further into both stories.

________

And a heads-up. Paranormal author Shannon K Butcher is chatting at The Knight Agency chat-room Thurday, November 19th @9pm ET. Details here (oh, and it looks like TKA is giving away a copy of Shannon's book, so swing by and enter by Thurs).

___________

Off to eat lunch and then finish the current scene (which features everyone's favorite wolf ;-))

NYT & USA Today

Blaze of Memory is to debut at #8 on the New York Times mass market bestseller list!! Thank you everyone!!

Edited to add: It's also hit the USA Today bestseller list!! :-)

Release Day!

Ok, so it's not officially Nov 3rd in the U.S. yet, but it will be in a few hours, and Blaze of Memory will be out! I hope you all enjoy Dev and Katya's story :) And don't forget that the mass market edition of An Enchanted Season will also be hitting the shelves at the same time.

Today, I have some linkage for you.

I have a very fun interview posted at Rip My Bodice - it's unlike any interview I've ever done *g*

I was also interviewed by author Carolyn Jewel on her blog - we're talking Eric, Bill, and elves, so swing by and say hi!

I'm chatting about Blaze at the Barnes and Noble Romantic Reads Board till Friday. Eloisa James is also featuring Dev in her column titled "In Praise of Decent Men" <-- go read - it's all about the heroes we love to love.

Plus Blaze is book-touring over at these fabulous blogs:

Jasmine Hayne's Blog
Yasmine Galenorn's blog.

Oh, and don't forget to drop by the Oddshots, where we're discussing what we'd do if someone else dared grab the last copy of the new release we'd been waiting for, forever!

Angels' Blood TV Debut & Friday Book Club

First up - these wonderful people are hosting the Blaze of Memory book tour for me today. Come on over and say hi :-)

Michelle Rowen
Jaci Burton
WriteMinded

Now, news! There was much excitement over on these shores last night - Shortland Street is a great NZ drama that plays weeknights. Yesterday, Angels' Blood was used on the show as a prop!

But it wasn't simply sitting on a shelf or a table - the characters had a book club on the show, and guess what book they were discussing? It was completely awesome to see the book onscreen :-). (NZ folks can catch the episode online.)

Thank you, Shortland Street! I also have to give a shoutout to everyone behind NZ Book Month, especially Michele, for making this happen.

Now, onto our own book club. What've you been reading this week? I finished Nora Roberts' Black Hills and really enjoyed it (I can't wait to get my hands on Bed of Roses, the second book in her bridal quartet). I've also been reading a number of advanced copies of books to see if I'd like to blurb (recommend) them. Okay, your turn!

p.s. Also just saw this! Bwahahahaha!!

Anthologies!

Winner: The random winner of the mass market copy of An Enchanted Season is Rachel (comment stamped at 5.38 am). Rachel, please email me your mailing address (nalinisinghwrites AT gmail DOT com). Congrats!

________________

The anthology I'm going to be in next year with the fantastic Angela Knight, Virginia Kantra and Meljean Brook, now has a title - Burning Up *sizzle*

My story will feature Ria, Lucas's administrative assistant, and will be set several years in the past, so you'll get to see DarkRiver as it begins to become a power in San Francisco.

And look what just landed!

The mass-market paperback of the An Enchanted Season anthology, which features Nate and Tamsyn's novella (excerpt here), will also release on the same day as Blaze of Memory, so if you haven't already got a copy, here's your chance!

To celebrate the new release, I'm giving away a copy of the anthology today. Just leave a comment by noon tomorrow, NZ time, to go in the draw.

Edited to add: The lovely Gena Showalter is hosting a book tour for me here!

Blaze of Memory

...releases next Tuesday!

KMont of Lurv A La Mode has just put up her view, so swing by and check that out. I'm also giving away a couple of signed copies of Blaze over there :-)

Busyness

Winner: The random winner of the copy of Must Love Hellhounds is pattepoilue. An email is on the way to you. Congrats!

I'm rushing around doing errands today, but it's struck me that it's only about two weeks until the release of BLAZE OF MEMORY! I can't wait to see what you all think of Dev and Katya's story. Some wonderful advance reviews have already come in - including a Top Pick from Romantic Times, and a 5 ribbon review from Romance Junkies!

To celebrate, I have something for you - a copy of Must Love Hellhounds :-)

To go into the draw, just leave a comment about whatever your heart desires by midday tomorrow, NZ time. (Also, please make sure there's some way for me to contact you if you win).

How is the week treating everyone so far?

Copy Edits

I'm working on copy edits for Blaze of Memory today, so it's busy, busy.

What're you all up to?

Q&A Session and Writing

Okay, looks like most people want the Q & A session after the release of Branded By Fire, so we'll do it a few weeks after the release - for both series. We can also do one after Blaze of Memory (releasing Nov).

The plan today is to polish up a little short story I'm working on for the website. Hoping to get some updates up soon.

Btw, I'm on Twitter now. I don't tweet that often, but I think I'm starting to understand the addiction. Anyone else tweeting?

Blaze of Memory Blurb

Here's the blurb for Blaze of Memory (Nov). A hint - there's a bit of a "twist" when it comes to the heroine's name. Who is she? *grin*

Nalini Singh returns to the Psy/Changeling world and its “breathtaking blend of passion, adventure, and the paranormal”* as a woman without a past becomes the pawn of a man who controls her future…

Dev Santos discovers her unconscious and battered, with no memory of who she is. All she knows is that she’s dangerous. Charged with protecting his people’s most vulnerable secrets, Dev is duty-bound to eliminate all threats. It’s a task he’s never hesitated to complete…until he finds himself drawn to a woman who might yet prove the enemy’s most insidious weapon.

Stripped of her memories by a shadowy oppressor, and programmed to carry out cold-blooded murder, Katya Haas is fighting desperately for her sanity itself. Her only hope is Dev. But how can she expect to gain the trust of a man who could very well be her next target? For in this game, one must die…

Cover Love: Blaze of Memory

World, meet Dev! How cool is this cover?! Blaze of Memory releases November!

Writing

After those lazy Christmas days, it's back to work for me - I'm going to dive into BLAZE OF MEMORY.

How about you all? What're you up to?
