Quiet in Her Bones, what else? I’m about half way through, and clearly I’ll reread it almost immediately once I know who did it...

Loved Quiet in Her Bones.

I bought the epub version, but ended up listening to most of it on audio from the library (I read about 10 chapters near the beginning when I didn't have access to the PC). I guessed the villain, but that didn't distract from my enjoyment of this wonderfully twisty story. I am not a big audio listener, but thought the narrator, Raj Varma, did a really good job. So happy I gave it a go.

Currently rereading Blaze of Memory. Katya & Dev are one of my favorite couples in the series.

Another authentic masterpiece ~ Quiet in Her Bones ~ So haunted by Aarav & his mom ~ the MC of the story.

I'm a lover of the Impressionists ~ especially Monet. Reading this mystery feels like walking into one of his masterpieces~ (I need to move out ~ way way back) A dreamscape of haunting colors & illusive subjects~ All hazy & insubstantial ~ & I'm lost & captivated ~ yearning ~ & yeah ~ awestruck & speechless ~ I'm drowning in Aarav right now ~ I'm in the middle of my first rereading ~

I'm currently reading Secret Runners (German Edition) by Rus Melgo. It's a dystopian thriller that transfers the perception / grievances of animal sports betting to humans.

I participated this week in a virtual “Battle of the Books,” hosted by my local bookstore and moderated by James Mustich, the author of “1,000 Books to Read Before You Die.” The premise: Persuade the audience to vote for a book that Jim should have included on his list but didn’t. The format: Five contestants get four minutes each to make the case for a book of their choosing, from how-to (a cookbook, a feng shui decorating book) to fiction (José Saramago’s “Blindness,” Anton Myrer’s “Once an Eagle”) to — my pick — “The Journals of John Cheever,” which I consider his crowning achievement.

I just finished Quiet in Her Bones and did not figure it out at all. Wonderfully done! Am now about to start Christine Feehan's latest Ghostwalker novel Lightning Game. Great times for reading lately!!
