I read a few more of JAK's backlist this week. My favorite was Trading Secrets written as Jayne Castle. Some problematic elements, but it helped to have the hero's POV scenes and I adored the heroine and her I'm-done-trying-to-please-everyone-else-so-will-do-what-I-want attitude.

I am reading Snapped! book four in the Playbook series by Alexa Martin. It's very, very good. Despite being a romance, this little white girl from NZ is learning about some of the personal battles Black and bi-racial women fight that I am blind to.

Finished Smoke Bitten, by Patricia Briggs. It went by so fast! New and yet so familiar at the same time. Just what I needed, I think. Now into The Triumphant, by Leslie Livingston. Part three of her Valiant trilogy. Teen fiction about female gladiators. So far enjoying it just as much as the first two. Not sure I need to own the trilogy though. Still trying to finish Seven Blades in Black, but I think it will end up due at the library before that. It is such a long book, and not a fast read, even though well worth it. Looking forward to the sequel that is now out.
