I'm about 24 minutes from finishing Memory Man by David Baldacci on audiobook and I have to stop listening to fix dinner. It's a psychological thriller - first in the series and a nail biter! Just finished reading Orchid by Jayne Ann Krentz again. The library is actually open for in person pick-up. First time since mid-March. Can't wait to browse again.

I'm reading Love Hard. Waiting for Emerald Blaze by Ilona Andrews to come out next week.

Love the Bishop-Esera clan. 😁. Makes me wonder when Danny's book will come out. Also would like to read more about Harry and Aroha. Hmmm...🤔

"The Resilience Revolution: Discovering Strengths in Challenging Kids" by Larry Brendtro and Scott Larson. Just finished. Great book! Deciding whether to tackle another chapter of "Writing Hard Stories" by Melanie Brooks, because it's got to be returned (digitally) in the next several days, or if I'm too tired and I should try for fiction. (something I own, though don't know whether paper or digital) It's a great book, but a slow read. Probably one I'll end up spending money on.

Technically our libraries open for in person browsing (not just curbside pick up) on the 25th, but in reality, that's only one branch, out of about 12, and it's way on the other side of the city. Sept. 8th before one I can actually get to opens for browsing. (and then another a week after that, and then two a week after that, if I remember. they'll be the last to open. I guess 'cause they're the smallest?) Still don't understand this paranoia about opening the libraries when the gyms have been allowed to open for... ages, it seems. (probably only been a month or two.)

Loved L Penelope's Cry of Metal & Bone (Earthsinger Chronicles #3) and Coda of Storm & Sorrow (Earthsinger Chronicles #3.3).

Read a few more of Jayne Castle's old Candlelight Ecstasy category books (circa 1981,1982) Bargain with the Devil and A Man's protection. Some issues with the dated attitudes, but I am trying to finish the rest of my print TBR this year.

Also enjoyed Nicole Helm's Homecoming for the Cowboy (Bad Boys of Last Stand #1).

Still with the Cynster stories in reverse :) But not in order now. Read Demon and Flick's story - A Rogue's Proposal, Niniver and Marcus's Story - A Match for Marcus Cynster, Part of an Anthology - By Winter's Light ( Very short story ), Catriona and Richard's Story - Scandal's Bride.

I think one book in the series that I definitely will not read is 'The Promise in a Kiss' which is the very first (but written later) prequel for the series. Scandal is born out of wedlock and the it is mentioned in 'Scandal's Bride' since it happened out of pity / was a one night stand - it was okay.

Somehow that did not sit well with me. It would have been okay if there had been no book for that couple. Or at least a more realistic book. According to all I have read online it is supposed to be a HEA and then in the very next book (chronologically) - Devil's Bride we come to know he has cheated.

Totally got sucked into, (and had to buy) "The Emotional Wound Thesaurus" by Becca Puglisi tonight!! I started with the free sample I found on kindle the other day, and about halfway through that I had to buy it!! I'm starting to see how and why Nalini got Memory and Ethan so right, and so good!! (It's a book describing how emotional wounds and trauma affect character's decisions and interactions, and such. And things to consider when writing such characters. As I said, TOTALLY sucked in!!!

Oops, Angela Ackerman is also an author on my above mentioned book. Didn't get a full look when I switched apps to find the author.

I'm finally reading The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward and I'm hooked. I started reading last week and I'm already at Lover Revealed, which is book 4 in the series. The same thing happened when I first discovered Psy-Changeling, I read like 4 or 5 books in a week. I think I might have a problem...
