I'm in a re-reading of the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. I just started Magic Breaks.

Can't wait for the new books coming out by Nalini this year. 😁

I’m reading Invader by C.J. Cherryh. She has a new book coming out next week.

I reread Jeffe Kennedy's The Mark of the Tala and extensive highlights of The Tears of the Rose and The Talon of the Hawk, the full-length books in her Twelve Kingdoms series. (Okay I basically reread almost all of The Talon of the Hawk when I meant to only reread highlights, but I do love Ursula & Harlan). I plan to skip ahead and just reread The Dragons of Summer novella again tonight and will consider myself prepped for this month's final book in the Uncharted Realms series, The Fate of the Tala.

I am having trouble picking my first new read of the year. Probably because there are about 7 or 8 books that I really want to read so I just went a reread to avoid choosing.

I've been fighting a cold with no energy, so it was re-read time. Mostly mysteries by Emma Lathen. I still enjoy that series. Also a Ngaio Marsh and a Dorothy Garlock historical.

Just finishing J.D. Robin's Vendetta in Death and Nalaini Singh's Rock Wedding, both exceptional and completely different. Also fighting a wicked cough/cold combo this weekend, so lazing around reading helps....

Just about finished "Women and Girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Understanding Life Experiences From Early Childhood to Old Age." By Sara Hendrickx. To my surprise it's quite good, for the most part. There are some issues, such as small sample size; indecision between whether she is writing a research paper, or a book for general consumption; and (most annoyingly) using person-first language rather than identity-first language. Otherwise though, it's really pretty good. (granted, I skimmed the first few chapters more than read them, but got sucked into the later chapters) Definitely one that will be worth investing money in buying once I can afford it. (spent all my book money already for the month!)
