I enjoyed Carla Neggers' A Winning Battle (Harlequin Temptation from 1989).
I also liked Veronica Scott's The Captive Shifter (Magic of Claddare #1). And my favorite read of the week was Veronica Scott's Winter Solstice Dream (Magic of Claddare #1.5)
Currently reading Therese Beharrie's Her Festive Flirtation which I am loving so far.
I read a few contemporary romances from Sarina Bowen's True North series. Very sweet and fun - just what I needed this week. I also read the first in the Portrait of Death series, Unforgotten by Isabel Wroth. Apparently there has been some social media controversy because of a rather mild, off hand "political" statement in this one. If I hadn't seen the author's message about it, with the book description, I wouldn't have even noticed it. The story is well written, emotional and scary - I actually paused about 8:30 and wondered if it would give me nightmares. But this morning I couldn't remember any, so I'm highly recommending it.
I read Wolf Rain a few days ago and loved the story as I love the whole Psy-changelling series. There is only one thing that has caught my attention already in some books and in this especially that is the importance of Sienna as a companion of an alpha. Sasha has always been given the prominence she deserves for her role, but I find her sienna very slight. It was very clear in this last book when her role is completely ignored when receiving the Memory in the clan. Sienna is one of my favorite characters and would like to see her occupy the role that belongs to her. Sorry for the bad english because I am not fluent, I have read english to train and love your books. I look forward to book 4. Thank you very much.
