Ooh, I like this one when you think about it compared to the others in the series! No face marks... And I particularly like the closed eyes - very secretive!
I agree with the girly comment, not the epitome of a hot alpha-ish male...What happened to masculine and rugged? I'm not one for pretty boys. I'd feel like I am reading a YA book about a teenager.
I quite like it. To be honest, if he had his eyes open he'd definitely look quite masculine. The closed eyes gives a unique delicateness to the person that is, to me, very psy-like. Here's hoping it's either Kaleb or Vasic's book. :D
While we're talking about cardinal eyes... Is it the full eye including the whites, (which is why sienna couldn't go out until special contact lens had been made) or is it just the iris that shows as 'cardinal'?
Heart of Obsidian...the Obsidian archive...I can't wait to know who the ghost is! I think the cover is fitting. I could see that man as the ghost. He has a Slavic look to me, and since Kaleb is Russian and Vasic is (I assume) some kind of Eastern European.... Then again, maybe they just chose the cover model because he's gorgeous!
I have my own theories of who the hero of Heart of Obsidian and one of the things that popped through my mind was - how is the Gollancz cover going to be?. Now I know - very clever Gollancz. Well done. Nalini mentioned that there were clues in the American cover but I'd say this whole cover is not even a clue - it's the confirmation.
@Wrayth Lethe I want to know that too lol... the uk/spanish covers are the BEST I've seen and it's all because of the men in them. I may be creepy but the first you see about a book is its cover and these succeeded in caught my attention xD

Hmmm he's looks a bit 'Psy'ish to me :) I still think it's Kaleb. If he was changeling I think he would have had a more rugged look. Is it June yet?

Maybe that's WHY the eyes are closed! So you won't see the cardinal stars and know who it is! That would sort of give it all away.

I always got the impression that it's the entire eye that is black with the stars scatter about it.
