Friday Book Club

Time to talk books! I recently read Ice Cold by Tess Gerritsen and Caught by Harlen Coben. Both excellent thrillers.

What're you enjoying at the moment?

Kinda rough sailing at the moment.

Lilith Saintcrow's Heaven's Spite, which I am enjoying more than her Flesh Circus - but none as much as I loved her Dante Valentine series.

Struggling with Zoe Archer's Scoundrel. I wish I loved this series as much as everyone else.

Mind Games by Carolyn Crane isn't all I hoped it would be either. Not bad - but not GREAT. I thought it was going to be great, but I'm only half way. It could get there.

I did just finish Marjorie M. Liu's In The Dark of Dreams (review copy). Now this... OMG GREAT. Love her writing so so so much!

I've finished Chains of Fire, the last of Christina Dodd's Chosen one series. I love the series and hope she contines it.

I picked up The Search by Nora Roberts, and I also got Lori WIlde's First Love Cookie Club from the Book Reading Gals. hopefully I'll get a chance to read one even working all weekend.

Lately, though, I have been rereading Caressed by Ice, and I want to reread POP :)

Reading the Dante Valentine series. Just finished the 3rd book, The Devil's Right Hand and about to start the next one Saint City Sinners. Good series, glad I finally got around to it. Also read Slave to Sensation - I've been wanting to get to this series forever (will be going straight back to it as soon as I finish DV), absolutely loved it.

Unholy Ghosts, by Stacie Kane. *****
Despite the heroine's many flaws (a drug addict no less), I loved this book. I was scared, excited, and completely clueless when it came to guessing where the story was going. Also, the pace, the voice, it was hard to willingly take breaks. :D

Paper Towns, by John Green. *****
Nerdfighters! DFTBA! that's all I'm going to say :p

Just finished TRIAL BY FIRE, a romantic suspense by Jo Davis. The first in a series all about the hunky firefighters of Station 5 - they can come put out any fire of mine, anytime! LOL

Just finished "Bonds of Justice" and "Play of Passion." Keep up the good work. Can't believe I've got to wait 7 months for Hawke's story! I've reading Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series as well and I'm really enjoying the humor mixed with action and sizzling sex. She does the banter between characters so well!

Oh, I love Harlan Corben :)

I finished reading Nine Rules at the end of last week. I think I enjoyed the first half of the book more than the second...it became rather too sweet. Then I read All or Nothing (Jame Buchanan) over the weekend, which I loved, and I've started Grand Conspiracy (Janny Wurts). Then I have to decide what to read next...The Thief (Megan Whalen Turner) is on the list :)
