“I’ll take that under advisement, Mélisande.”
Mercy barely stopped herself from slamming on the brakes. “Who told you that?” She needed to know who to dismember.
He snorted. “I ran the background check on you.”
“What?”
“Did you think SnowDancer was sitting on its ass while you cats set up your territory here?”
Given that she’d done some spying of her own, she couldn’t exactly argue with that. But—“That name is off-limits. On pain of death.”
“I’m quaking in my boots, pussycat.”
She screamed. “Why do you live to aggravate me? Why?”

I'm back!

I'm back! How're you all? Tell me what you've been up to.

I've just completed a draft of Mercy's book and now I'm going to have a read and see how it all flows. I like to work with the whole book, rather than editing and finalizing sections, so I'll be doing further drafts - but I tell you, this book is sizzling ;-)

I seriously can't believe it's Saturday already. Egads, where did the time go?! What've you all been up to? Plans for the weekend? Me, I'm continuing to work on Mercy's book.

Weekly Catchup

We haven't had a catchup day for a while - what's everyone been up to? Any news?

My news: Angels' Blood is done and currently being read by my agent!! Woohoo!!

I've decided to do a draft of the novella for next year's anthology while the world is fresh in my head, so that's what I'm up to now. However, as of next week, it's all Mercy, all the time. And her hero, of course. *g*

Weekly Catchup

It's been a crazy week - and I just realized last night that you all still haven't been able to access the chat transcript. So let's try again. Click this link - and hope it works! (It should ask to open an Excel file).

I'm currently working on Mercy's book and Angels' Blood (not at the same time...exactly). And tonight, I'm looking forward to a dinner with some of my writer buds - where we can talk books, writing, and all sorts of other good stuff. I'm so looking forward to it.

Angels' Blood, Mercy's Book & Conferences

I finished inputting my changes into this draft of Angels' Blood over the weekend, and I'm now fiddling with Mercy's book. I think this one is going to burn up the pages. Just saying... ;)

And, I don't know if I've mentioned this but I'll be at RAW 2008 - it's a weekend (19 - 21 Sep) for readers to get together with writers, and there's a great list of authors coming. There may be some changes to what's up on the website at the moment (hold off on booking rooms yet - some important info coming soon), but registration's open, so check it out.

I'll also be at RWA's San Francisco Conference. Every year, there's a huge open book signing session, to fundraise for literacy - this year's will be on July 30th, 5.30-7.30 p.m.
