Read Sapphire Flames by Ilona Andrews. It's the newest Hidden Legacy book. This is the start of Catalina Baylor's series. If anyone has not read any of the Hidden Legacy books, you will need to start at Burn For Me (which is the first book of Catalina's sister Nevada's three books). If you start with Sapphire Flames, you will be wondering about a lot of things. It's a wonderful book.
I just read the special Labor Day edition of the newsletter. Thank you for putting Rock Hard on sale for those who haven't read it yet. It's a wonderful book.
Also, the spoiler for Archangel's War at the bottom of the newsletter, such a tease. A little over 3 weeks to go! :)
I read "Sapphire Flames" too! It was really good. It starts another mysterious story and adds complexity to the loose ends left over from the previous trilogy. I also thoroughly enjoyed "The Blacksmith Queen" by G.A. Aiken. So much fun and so much violence. And more singing than you'd think. I started "Magic Outside the Box" by Honor Raconteur but I was too tired last night to finish it. It's building into another fun story with our old friends in this series. But, I feel like I already know the ending and I'm only 1/2 through it. Perhaps I'm not right... Best to read it all anyway, and find out for sure.
Re-read Connections in Death by Robb, Dark Legacy and Dark Sentinel by Feehan. Obviously I'm prepping for the new books in those series that are due out on the 3rd. Also re-reading Busman's Honeymoon by Dorothy Sayers, or rather the start of the book, so far. I do love Lord Peter, especially in the later books.
I just returned from vacation, during which I read Storm Cursed by Patricia Briggs and Shadows Strike by Dianne Duvall. Now I'm reading An Artless Demise by Anna Lee Huber.
The Sea King by C.L. Wilson, fun read. And I can't wait for the 3rd book in the Mystral Serie. She also wrote the Tairen Soul serie, which I highly recommend.
I read Sapphire Flames by Ilona Andrews this week, too. It -is- wonderful. Catalina is definitely different from Nevada. Death Of Darkness, by Dianne Duvall and Fractured Souls by Anna Carven were excellent, too. It isn't a romance, but I also enjoyed Minor Mage by T. Kingfisher. These will all be good to re-read.
