Hi ! I'm curently reading archangel's shadow and being french, though the other books already bothered me on that topic, i had to write to you... it kills me everytime you use french words in an absurd fashion (it happens a lot).. for example dear does not translate as "cher" when refering to a woman... it has to be feminine, and coupled with a "my" making it "ma chère"... and even then it's a rather cold attribute. So please be carefull, this kind of mistakes makes your otherwise amazing books look so unprofessional

I think she wrote "sha" or "cher" as a term of endearment used amon Louisiana Cajuns.. not purely French..
