Phew ! And just like that the first work week of 2018 is ending ! Omg ....

Re-read Coral Kiss by Jayne Ann Krentz.
Yet to read her new book that was released on Jan 2. Keeping it as a treat for myself. This week has been a bit harrowing.

Reading the newsletter short stories volume ... thanks for the consolidation ! :)

Finished 29 Seconds by TM Logan (25.01.2018). It was an interesting book about the choices we have. Nothing scarry.

I'm really enjoying "A Study in Scarlett Women" by Sherry Thomas. A female Sherlock Holmes in 19th century London. The novel is not just about the mystery but also the restrictions and limitations when faced when trying to be independent. Well written.

My reading year is off to a good start.

I loved the latest Jayne Ann Krentz, Promise Not to Tell. It's the second book in her trilogy with no official name yet, but can easily be read as a stand-alone (though the overarching mystery won't be solved until the final book).

I also enjoyed Jeffe Kennedy's The Snows of Windroven (The Uncharted Realms #3.5, in the Amid the Winter Snow anthology).

I was disappointed with the final book in Amanda Bouchet's The Kingmaker Chronicles, Heart of Fire. There were parts I liked, but the end was anti-climactic and I had a number of issues with the story.

Really enjoyed Robin D. Owens Celta Cats - collection of short stories about the intelligent Cat Familiars that are part of her Celta Heart series. All were really great especially Pinky's elevation to CatFam.
Also caught up on Deanna Chase's Pyper Rayne series since a new one is coming out soon.
My daughter gave me a Kobo gift card for Christmas and I am putting it to good use!!

I'm in the process of reading Promise Not To Tell by Jayne Ann Krentz. So far, so good. Just read a snippet by Ilona Andrews on their website.
