I have two pieces of Psy-Changeling news for you today.
First up, I'll be doing a Psy-Changeling novella for next year, to be released as part of a multi-author anthology. This is something that just came together- I don't know if the other authors have announced it to their readers, so I can't tell you who they are yet, but it's an awesome lineup.
I've decided we'll be going back to DarkRiver territory for this novella. Release date will be late in 2014. More info on that to come once I get it.
And as promised, I have the name of the hero of Psy-Changeling #13 for you. The heroine is a new character so I'll share further information about her once I'm deeper into writing the book and have gotten to know her a little more.
Because the hero is a character who walks in the shadows and it seems appropriate that we should have to work to find him, I'm going to put his name in white text below - to see it, just select everything below this paragraph with your mouse (or use Shift plus the down arrow).

Thrilled its to be Vasic. I just love him, so complex and damaged. I loved Kaleb's story so can't wait for it to be published. I have the whole series in printed and ebook form so I can re-read them wherever I am.

hahaha, I wonder if I'm the only one who's slightly disappointed that Psy-Changeling #13 isn't a Vasic/Aden pairing.
But I am extremely looking forward to Vasic's story come 2014. If any author can make me fall in love with any hero, it's Nalini.

I am really confused. people were looking forward to Nalini writing a male/male romance? Personally that would be the end of the series for me. While I cannot say I am bigoted, I have no desire to read a male loves male romance and think it would ruin the whole series. Just one woman's opinion
@teriannesis - It's just a joke...I don't think anyone really expected NAlini to write a book with an M/M pairing, but Vasic and Aden are just such good friends that...:P

Am very excited about the next book and hate the wait for it! Have no idea how many times I have already reread Kaleb's story, or how many times I have reread my other faves as well! The wait will be worth it though - just have to remind myself patience!!
YES!!! I hoped that it was him. In Heart of Obsidian I was afraid that he was beyond saving. I hope the heroine manages to bring him into the light! Now all we have to do is wait...
I've got to say I'm a little disappointed it's not a Vasic/Aden pairing too. It looked like that's where it was headed.
@ teriannesis- No one expects her to write a romance with the main characters being of the same sex but having them as a sort of story within the main story has been done before by other well known romance writers with no problems. I'm surprised we haven't seen same sex couples in the archangel series. With the vampires and angels living hundreds/thousands of yrs. i'd expect them to all be bisexual, they're so hedonistic :-)

Nalini mentioned during her book tour in the states that Aden and Vasic have a brother to brother relationship. She had never contemplated a romance between them but it is a more familial relationship. Listening to her explanation, it makes perfect sense that it wouldn't go that way. :)
Well, in reading Heart of Obsidian, it did seem like an Aden - Vasic pairing, but I'm so glad he gets a heroine...
What's with the time between each book? I know she's working on 2 series but really, we used to get 3 books a year :(.
Yayness! Vasic is a wonderful, but horribly masochistic, self sacrificing git. He so deserves someone, and Aden too. I'm so happy that Vasic won't get the chance to kill himself. He'll be happy like Judd.

Vasic would pair nicely with Alice. She knew Zaied (sp?) the first Arrow...Vasic makes me think of him.

@Laura: Matthais and Mariska? I hadn't even thought about that, but with Brenna mentioning her in Tangle of Need (which I absolutely love by the way...just finished reading it for the fouth time) and how she intended to get Mariska to come out more often? Could be a winner!

Yes, i like vasic but aden and vasic usually go hand in hand. I think a love interest for both. Aden is usually following Vasic to make sure he does not follow his dark side. Plus i want to know more about adens skills, he is a telepath but was hinted about in HOO maybe he has some foresight. I always knew he was more than a medic.
