Was it my imagination, or was the angel meant to have a Māori look to him, something more pacific islander....This guys looks caucasion, and nothing like I imagined...

I just picked up Angels' Flight at the store and am so looking forward to Jessamy and Galen's story!! The cover gods love you is all I can say to that cover. Though I thought Jason would have darker skin and more of a Pacific Islander look... Yes, I saw the tattoo. Cool!

Storm to look forward to. I am looking forward to Jason's story. The cover is gorgeous and it is great to have a picture to go with the name.

Very nice, but yes, as the others have said, I thought that Jason was darker - black wings and skin? - able to blend in at night and better be the spy master....

I didn't imagine him with dark skin but wearing dark clothes, to blend with the night, so the cover works for me

And the cover of Jason's book ist just awesome!!
BTW, his wings are black and his skin isn't too light, you have to consider that the scene is illuminated by a lightning, not by bright daylight.^^

Agghhhh just went to purchase Angels' Flight from Booksonboard and it is not showing for purchase. Do you know if there is a delay for Australian customers???
I can feel a storm coming my way amd I cant wait!!! Beautiful cover, now I can see Jason clearly in my mind and I dont think he should have been any shade darker or else his tatoo would not be that clear which, I think would have been a shame. Dont u guys? what say??

WOW..that`s a cover! (Almost better as chocolate LOL).
If I could just fast forward the time up to the release date of "Archangel's Storm"....I'm still waiting for my copy of "Angel's Flight", but since it was sent from Germany, I expected it to take a little time...it should be here next week anyway...I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I've also ordered a copy of "Archangel's Blade", because I've only the iBooks copy, and I wanted so badly that gorgeous cover in my collection! ^_^
The new cover is gorgeous, really. I can see the tattoo too, and I find it beautiful. As others have said, I also expected his skin to have a little bit of a darker shade, and maybe I would have used a stormy-blue sky as background to enhance the contrast with the skin. And maybe he could also have a sort of "fire-blade", because I remember him destroying Lijuan's reborn with something like that, but...THE COVER IS STILL TOTALLY GORGEOUS, so no matter!!! ^_^

To me, the colors don't seem off - it just looks dramatic, like a black and white rendition in black and gold/yellow tones instead :)
Oh wow, love the "feel" of it although I do have to say that in my imagination Jason will always be much leaner, but I never imagine male characters like that...fit, muscualar yes, but not that built, but that´s just me...anyway, I don´t care about the cover all that much anyway, just CAN`T WAIT FOR SEPTEMBER =D! Oh, and just finished "Angels´ FLight and loved it, so thanks for that =)!

EEEE! I saw this yesterday and FREAKED. OUT. I LOVE it! It's somehow not how I pictured Jason, but mind's just gone 'OK!' and automatically adjusted, and I'm IN LOVE! AND OMG! The tattoos! They are there! Squee! So glad you love it :D

The cover is fantastic! Simply brilliant, like the story will be of course. I just finished Angel's Flight (In 1 day) and all I can say is "CAN I HAVE SOME MORE PLEASE?" ... it was fantastic! Thank you Ms. Singh for bringing these amazing characters and their stories to the page!
Interesting choice for your next book! I'm looking forward to it. I loved that Dmitri got a book (and I would still really want to see one with Venom), but I love the angels too so I like that the next book centers on a very mysterious one.

Awesome Cover. I love it when a cover reflects the written description of a character. The background is wonderful :)
first of all, Jason would never betray Raphel and the cover does not describe the character jason in the book.
This really is a terrible cover in that it doesn't match what was written. It's like the artist could have cared less, just found himself a buff looking guy and just did what he wanted. Very disappointing.

@ Shelita, Jason is not betraying Raphael, he sent him to station in the city mentioned in book "Archangel's Consort". I recommended you to re-read that book and you will know where he is. I suspected the building behind Jason on the book cover is the portrait of that lost city. :D
To beloved Ms Singh.. I would like to request book#6 to feature "Aodhan", there is some mysterious story about him there to explore. thank you. Oh I did re-Read all 4 books and new book "Angel's Flight" just finish today..
the cover looks great, only it doesn't look as if it's the description of jason in the previous books (maybe a nice healthy(?) brown(?) that rarely goes pale(?) in archangel's kiss) I could've sworn there was also a mention that he possibly looked as if he had an asian-looking ancestor somewhere (i might be confusing it with max shannon though) but I agree with most that the jason cover looks light.
I am interested in the storm aspect of him. (I forgot if it's his fighting technique)
after rereading the 4 stories(?) I came to the following:
dimitri: blade,
nassir: hunting tiger with glowing eyes
venom: cobra eyes and tongue(?)
aodhan: diamond like(?)
illium: bluebell (heh)
galen: weapons-master (and sorta going after mrs robinson ^_^)
jason: storm/spymaster
very interesting.
I am dissapointed by the cover ,it just doesn't seem like Jason...
Jason wouldn't betray Raphael as the archangel is the only reason he is still living. He once asked Raphael if he'd keep his promise (to kill him) and Raphael agreed after he no longer needed Jason.
What I'm most interested in is Jason's back story. Where does he come from? What's the real reason behind his tattoo? etc.
Anyway, the cover may not match a lot of reader's visuals of Jason but come on, girls! Look at those muscles! Wouldn't you love to wake up to that every morning and be carried off in the air for a flight? You may even get to dance with him as angels do ;)
It doesn't matter that the guy is hot - if you're going to have an image of Jason on the cover, it should at least resemble his description from the books. The cover seems to have been "whitewashed" for marketing purposes - it's really very offensive.
(ETA - when I say this is offensive, my comment is obviously not directed at Nalini but at the marketing department responsible for the cover. I love Nalini and her amazing writing, which I feel that this cover does not respect.)
