I haven't been in the mood to read much so it's re-reading time for me, right now, Cover of Night by Linda Howard.
I just read Jennifer Ashley's newest book in her Shifters Unbound series, Wild Cat. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next installment.
*perking up* yeeeeeeeeees???
I'm reading "The Spy Who Left Me" by Gina Robinson. It's very funny so far
I'm reading "Crave by J R Ward" Its been sitting on my book shelf along side 'Envy By J R Ward' (which i will be reading next) For a few months now, Oops. I for got it was there. i also noticed 6 other books that i forgot i brought but never read on my book shelf, so iv got to blow some dust of these never read books and get reading, hehe. My veiw on Crave is not to clear at the moment as its a little different to J R wards other books that i've read, but i think i will enjoy it once i get more into it. I will make sure i hop on the computer tomorrow then. :D
Happy New Year, Nalini! I have just finished reading Kate Grenville's "The Lieutenant" and posting my 'terribly important thoughts' on the same on Good Reads. :)
Happy New Year! I read Touch of Power by Maria Snyder and Skirmish by Michelle West - I loved them both. For anyone who's never tried Michelle West, I strongly recommend her. She can do truly amazing things with a phrase and her creativity continually astounds me (like Nalini but completely different genre - think epic fantasy). If anyone's interested in checking her out, I would start with Hunter's Oath and Hunter's Death (a dualogy) followed by her Sun Sword series, and finally her House War series. Enjoy!
i discovered this australian writer denise rossetti's book the lone warrior.. really enjoyed her book.Highly recommend it very lush worldbuilding and a gorgeous hero, walker...going to read her earlier book: thief of light...enjoy the weekend everyone..peace
Had to take a break from the Song of Fire and Ice series so I just started 77 Shadow Street by Dean Koontz. Seems pretty good so far.
Demon Bait and Hammer Down by Moira Rogers. Post-demon-apocalypse, with an interesting worldbuilding and alpha males (and females).
Just inhaled Diana Rowland's "Sins of the Demon," the 4th in her Demon series. I loved AND hated it. Kara Gilligan is a police detective and demon summoner in this police procedural/urban fantasy. This series has wonderful character development. None of the characters are a straight line, if you know what I mean. Good guys, bad guys, demonic lords, or our heroine. This 4th book satisfyingly answered some major questions about the identity of one of Kara's love interests...BUT it ended with a maddeningly awesome no awful no awesome no awful cliffhanger. You authors sure know how to torture us poor poor readers.
Oh man! The heroine of Rowland's Demon series is Kara Gillian--not Gilligan! Sheesh. Trying not to think about that slip of the keyboard. ;-)
I just discovered Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin Series and I have to say I am loving it!!! Gin the hero is awesome and the supporting cast of characters are wonderful! The fact that it is set in a fictional city in the southern United States and involves lots of descriptions of southern great food is an added bonus for me since I am from the South. I really love this series!
Totally random Boonsboro Inn story: As well as liking the paranormal romance blogs, I also love the home improvement blogs. I SWEAR Nora Roberts must be equally adicted to them, because that whole Inn renovation could have come straight from one of those blogs! She used the acronym ORB in a sentence!! She MUST read YoungHouseLove.com! Haha!I immediately referred the book to all my fellow DIYers. Although most of them will probably skip the story and dive straight into the reno. Copper bathtub??? Yum! And how fun was it that one of the suites is named Eve & Roarke? Especially since Jane & Rochester sits right next to Eve & Roarke on my bookshelf. Awesomeness. My latest read was Into the Flames, by Marjorie M. Liu. It was very cool. You have to love a hero who calls the evil bad guy "Ma'am" as he barely escapes her clutches. I may have laughed a bit too much at that, knowing how terrible it is to be Ma'am'd by cute young men. Haha! Take that, evil blood witch!
I'm reading Angel's Blood by Stephani Hecht on my new Kindle Touch. Its a good series of angels vs. demons which is 10 books long i think, you cant just pop into the series in the middle of it or you will be totally lost.
I'm reading some science fiction at the moment - Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, and I love it. Filled with 80s references, video game culture, and a quest. After that, I'll dig into the new book in the Jane Yellowrock series, Raven Cursed by Faith, and then the latest Maxine Kiss novel, The Mortal Bone by Marjorie M. Lui. Add some homemade soup and some great coffee, and my weekend will be pretty perfect.
I'm reading and enjoying The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks. It's the first book in her KGI series.
I am going to read Bride by Mistake by Anne Gracie next. Just read Bound in Sin by Cynthia Eden which is free just now at her web site. Also Swan and the Bear by Eve Langlais which I really enjoyed and Magic Gifts by Ilona Andrews which is a free Kate Daniels novella which was great, lots of Kate and Curren. The story was only available from their website, really glad I found it.
Wish I had time to read lately, but alas no. Am currently renovating my house. Very tiring and stressful. Talking of the Inn Boonsboro book though, I liked all the decoratng stuff in it too. I used to love reading all of Nora Roberts books and she was my favourite author. However then I discovered Nalini, and Nora just wasn't good enough anymore. I got a bit bored of her, but have started reading some of her books again lately and still love the J.D Robb's. Eve and Roarke are one of my all time favourite couples. And whats this giveaway? I really want to know!
read some kate daniels and am starting on jane yellowrock
