The Taj Mahal is incredibly lovely in real life. Even though it's such a large building, it is so graceful and delicate, you almost don't notice the size. |
Taken in front of what were once government offices in Old Delhi |
I love how many different forms of transport are visible in this shot! |
And one more from another angle! |

I have a ton more photos to go through, so I'll be posting more over the next few weeks. I've also got some on my Facebook author page. It's a public album, so just click through and you'll be able to see the images. :-)

Terrific pic's Nalini! India looks like a beautiful place to travel to and enjoy the sights. Thankyou for sharing them.
The Lake Palace is especially beautiful!
The driving in Delhi had me scared for my life when i was there!
SO SO STUNNING!! Especially the TAJ !!! WOW!!
Thnx so much for sharing with us.
I've checked out the FB album too.
Most Gorgeous!! Truly!!
Question? Have you planned to be in Jaipur .. in India during the DIWALI CELEBRATION? Or was that just a coincidence? I've always believed there's NO such thing as a coincidence in real life!! LOL.
Love the Diwali Lights!! WOW!!
Again.. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
@Lady Jaye - me too!
@Always V - yes, it was planned. :)
@Lady Jaye - I have to add though that I was fascinated with how everyone got along in spite of the chaos. No signs of road rage. That was awesome.
the palace lake is woow!
Finally allowed to type again. I've always wanted to visit India. One day :) Thank you for sharing the photos Nalini.
@Nalini - yes! I know exactly what you mean. No accidents, but everyone going at full speed, and zooming in and out of lanes! I don't know how it's possible but I hear Mumbai and Bangalore are much worse :D
Absolutely beautiful Nalini.
Nalini beautiful pics, you know when you stay in a country you don't visit half of the places. Despite having stayed in Delhi, I only saw India Gate and Humayun Tomb, never made it to Lotus Temple or Red Fort.
And Agra has been in my list along with Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Udaipur and Jaipur.
Kerala is beautiful too.
Delhi traffic scares me, I remember I didn't like crossing roads.
Will wait for more of your pictures :) You're one dedicated traveller.
Nalini <3
Thnx so much for your response. :)
I'm thinking that you've just pointed out
to a lot of us
the BEST TIME to visit India. LOL
If ever my ONE OF THESE DAYS actually arrived..
I'd defo visit India during
the Diwali Celebration too.
The most magical season, absolutely.
Not so sure about the various modes of
transportation though. LOL
I think I'd just WALK when in cities..
