India & Awards

I'm back in NZ after an awesome trip to India. Photos to come!

I had some great news come in while I was away.

Kiss of Snow has been nominated in the Favorite Romance section of the Goodreads Choice Awards, so if you're are GR member, don't forget to vote.

I've also been nominated in the RT Reviewers Choice Awards in the Vampire Romance (Archangel's Blade), Paranormal Romance (Kiss of Snow), Harlequin Nocturne (Lord of the Abyss), and Career Achievement (Paranormal) categories.

Morgan Doremus of RT recently did a wonderful blog post focusing on Lord of the Abyss, and the timeless appeal of the Beauty and the Beast theme - do check it out!

I know... North & South is my absolute favorite Romance movie as well... I even love it more than Pride & Prejudice, which is saying something as I'm a big Jane Austin fan.

Congratulations on your nominations!

Wowza! that is one fantastic kiss! Now I have to watch North and South so that I can see the build up to it for the real pay off!!! Congrats on your nominations Nalini, very well deserved....Archangel's Blade was my first post baby book read - and I sacrificed alot of my daytime naps to devour it - my new Nalini favourite!

1.) "Lord of the Abyss" was AWESOME!! Beauty & the Beast was always my favorite fairy tale growing up, so I just ate it up completely. :)

2.) When I first saw "North and South," I would keep re-watching that final scene. It's just perfect!

Boy, didn't all the stars align just right when that final scene of N&S was filmed/edited/scored? A swoon-worthy ending to a wonderful mini-series.

The first Nalini Singh book I read was a few months ago: Archangel's Blade. Hadn't read a paranormal in years, and this was so good, I had to back-track and start from the beginning with Angel's Blood. Then, a few weeks ago, I read Kiss of Snow. Really liked it, so now I'm going to start from the beginning with the Psy/Changeling series. Thanks for many hours of great reading!

Wow, Nalini, am I wrong or are you the only author with two books nominated for the Romance category in Goodreads? Although I'm not sure that's so good, because we (the fans) have trouble choosing now, between you and.. you :). It's gonna split the votes...
Anyway, great authors in that bunch. I found some new books for my TBR.
Congratulations on all your nominations!
