Reading the Hathaway series by Lisa Kleypas. Right now on the third book (Poppy's story). This is such a great series!!! Why didn't I read it before!? Right now everything that gets in the way of my reading is an inconvenience....work, food, sleep lol! I haven't been so engrossed in a story in a long time. Love it!!
The first book by Lisa Kleypas that I read was from the Wallflower series. I admit, I didn't like it that much. I didn't get Sebastian's appeal to the masses. Then I read Derek Craven's story and LOOOOVED him! So I picked up the Hathaway series. Now I totally get what the fuss is all about! lol
I decided instead of rereading, to catch up on my TBR pile and finally read my copy of Tempted by the Casts. It was so good up until the end when they killed Heath! I don't know if I want to read Burned just yet, I feel as if I am still in mourning :( so I think I will go back to my original plan and reread to cheer myself up. Probably one of Gena's Lords books since the next one comes out next week (yay!)
Reading a "nice" author: Diana Palme's new release Dangerous. I've been reading her for the last 40 years almost and she's is simply a pleasant read to me.
I am hooked on the Atlantis Series from Alyssa Day. Just bought the last 3 in the series and hope to get started on them this week. Looking forward to new releases arriving soon from Charlaine Harris and Gena Showalter.
I read Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews. It was really good. I will be reading The Darkest Passion by Gena Showalter and Moon Sworn by Keri Artur just as soon as I can get my hands on them.
I love Lisa Kleypas too! Yesterday I finished reading PC Hodgell's the God Stalker Chronicles, which contains her first two books, God Stalk and Dark of the Moon. I read and loved them years ago and loved them again this time. Looking forward to relocating and reading the rest of her books. I read Candace Camp's A Lady Never Tells today and am debating what to read next...
I'm reading the first trilogy by Tessa Dare: Goddess of the Hunt, Surrender of a Siren and A Lady of Persuasion. Great books, her new series - The Stud Club - goes out next week. She did a book video for the new series with her kids dolls, It's in her web site and it's just fantastic. You should all check it out!
just finished Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress book 1 and I can't believe I took so long to pick it up! Cant wait to get book 2 on Saturday. Today I'm reading Blaze of Memory, lol I took a break after reading like 4 of the series books in a row last month, but saw the cover for Play of Passion and got excited and decided I had to be ready for Bonds of Justice in July too :D
I adore Lisa Kleypas, though I'm going to have to do some serious digging to get my hands on the next two Hathaways, since the UK versions don't come out until the end of the year :0! Much as I want to read Leo and Kat's story, it's Bea's I'm dying for. I love her (and Dodger the ferret).
At the moment I'm rereading a certain Psy/Changeling series. Don't know if any of you have heard of it...?
I read Lover Mine in one go.. while husband did a nightshift *grin*, loving it, waiting for this series to continue (but when???) waiting (almost) paitently for the next Nalini-Book (3 already preordered on Amazon- so I cant miss a date ;) )and am also waiting for Lisa Kleypas´ books to finally come out- love the Hathaways!! Does anyone know "Dragon actually" ? I´m so tempted and have a month to fill before "my next book" arrives!!! I´m currently at home (due to pregnancy not allowed to work in ICU)..... so much time....
I found Her Royal Spyness by Rhys Bowen. The series is mystery but there is a love interest. What I loved about it was how checky it was. I can't get enough of the British humor and attitude. Georgie as the heroine, was delightfully resourceful and I will have to read the rest of the series.
I'm listening to The Birth Order Book by Dr. Kevin Leman on my commute. Very interesting... I'm going to give it to my mother so that we can argue/discuss it.
I'm reading "Death Blows" by Canadian DD Barant, the second of the Bloodhound series. It's the first urban fantasy series I've really loved. The premise is unique (I've never come across a similar AU), deeply disturbing and utterly addictive.
@Veronika - Do you mean Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken/Shelly Laurenston? If yes, then yeah I've read that series! It's great! Honestly, for me that author can do no wrong. Love her writing! The banter between EVERYONE (not just the H/H) is lots of fun!
@ladyacct - Beast Behaving Badly is out already? wow! Totally lost track of time. I need to get my hands on a copy :)
@Bella - I haven't read much from Lisa Kleypas. But I would recommend starting with the Hathaway series.
I always list books I'm going to read, and then when I get to my "to be read MOUNTAIN" something else catches my eye and I go off in a totally different direction.SOOOO I will list a few in the Mt. and see where I go.
Christine Feehan- Wild Fire
Stella Cameron- Court of Angels series, Out of Body, Out of Sight and Out of Mind
James Patterson- Maximum Ride series
Sherrilyn Kenyon/ Diana Love- reread B.A.D. series to get to Silent Truth
Jacquelyn Frank- Stealing Kathryn
Linda Howard/ Linda Jones Blood Born
Jayne Ann Krentz,Beverly Barton, Tami Hoag,Lora Leigh,Christina Skye......the list goes on and on and I have more on the way to my house.I think I need to stay in bed and read.{sigh}
@Bella - The Hathaways is a good series to start with. Or you could try the Wallflower books. Another fan favorite is Dreaming of You. I loved all of these.
She has a big backlist, so what I'd suggest is just going to her website and having a look through it to see what catches your eye. :-)
I'm reading Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs. I really love her books. Next book will be Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews as soon as it is out (25th of May). I loooove the Kate Daniels-novels.
I'm more into sorting than reading--but I did have to reread the GH series since Ms. Singh finished Archangel's Consort! I'm going to be rereading the "Owl" trilogy in the Mercedes Lackey series since my daughter just found the missing third one. Thanks for the comments about the Lisa Kleypas & G.A. Aiken books, because I have those on the TBR pile, so I'll shuffle them to the top.
I'm not reading anything at them moment because I'm too TICKED off. I tried to order Jennifer Estep's Bigtime series but it turns out there's this new funny thing out called "Required eBook Pricing".
Which basically means I'm out of luck even thinking of ordering ebooks because I'm from the wrong country to order from the US, the price has increased and the books aren't available anyway.
I choose to read ebooks because of their availability, price and ease of use and access but no more!
I will be stuffing my face with chocolate for the next 2 months instead.

I know exactly what you mean waka! I have been reading eBooks for over 3 years and the current issues are driving me mad. I have resorted to library books, and probably won't even bother buying the eBooks if/when they do become available for me to purchase from New Zealand. So far I have missed out on Sweet Temptation by Maya Banks, Atlantis Redeemed by Alyssa Day, Wild Fire by Christine Feehan, Seducing the Highlander by Emma Wildes, Men of Danger anthology.
Anyhoo! This week I have read and enjoyed Stormwalker by Allyson James (can't wait to read more in this series) and Lover Mine by JR Ward (was amazed to be able to buy the eBook through Amazon's Kindle store)
Hi Nalini, I just re-read two books by you-Mine to Posses(Clay) and Branded by Fire(Mercy). I'm about to re-read Caressed by Ice. I can't wait for Max's book!!
