Loved the book! Theo and Yakov are perfect together, as are Pavel and Arwen. Speaking of this, I'd like to see Arwen and Theo going out together and bonding over their love for those bears. I missed the Mercants, especially that kickass lady Ena.

Now, I'm slightly jealous because a bunch of people get to call Pax their daddy and I'm not one of them. 😭

Already looking forward to the next one.

Loved the book ....
Only one complaint , dont keep isolating Kaleb and othering him..
Make him one of Ena's people.. why can't he be Enas people ?
Why don't you develop his friendship with Payal and Bo and others..
And family with Zach and Annie .

This constant heebie jeebie with Kaleb is becoming unfunny.
Always him isolated.

He had equally terrible childhood like Zaira and Pax and Theo with psychopath councilors, but they get love and acceptance and embracing by the changeling but NOT Kaleb... why ???

Why don't you introduce him as steady presence in Arrow compound ?

Show more trust with Aden and Vasic without fhem being so standoffish.. He would have been one of them .. if not for Enrique.. why is this NEVER acknowledged ???

Why don't you show him mentoring and being close with Pax ?

Also , adding to the above comment .. ( Kaleb )

Loved Pasha and Yasha and Theo and Arwen and Denu and his Mimi and his Hien... that last letter Denu wrote was heartbreaking ..as was the one Hien wrote.. such love for each other and what Silence turned out to be.. separating loved ones for love's sake ??? Tragedy ..
It hurt my heart.

So did winding Theos and Pax's childhood and Theos thoughts of Pax , when we are in the flashback.. heartbreaking...

Keja is a story that was terrible too.

And I thank you for such a well written book.. such intense emotion , it really touched my heart.

Queen and her memories and stories of Denu...

Please give us a short story where Pavel and Yakov and Quyen meeting up with Hiens descendent..
Kaono, another Adeleja's suicide was terrible.. Hiens reaction to it and response.. was understanding but tragic... just the start of a horrific period in the life of psy and all the people they loved like the Bears and the forgotten and I bet the SD and DR too.. considering Luc's ancestor and the psy ancestor of SD... so many interconnections.

And as always ... Bears 🙄😇🙃❤❤❤
Love Bears .esp love them because they do accept Kaleb.. adore Valentin.. more interaction there please.. a short story with a dinner at Kalebs home.. with Valentin and Silver .. another one at Kalebs home with Bo and his h and an Awesome Part at Kalebs home with Judd and Xavier and maybe Vaughn..maybe Valentin.. ??? Aden and Zaira ?? Pretty please...

Kaleb and arrow kids interaction and mentoring story , please...

Small quibble. Ivan was affected by Jax *in utero* not *in vitro*.
Excellent and emotional story of love and redemption with a soupçon of forgiveness.

Loved it...can't wait for the next book in the series...maybe Pax will be a "good Father" and take care of Mother's brain!

I enjoyed both romances.

Loved the letters between Hein and Déwei. My heart breaks for both of them.

My theory that Neiza was Catherine and Arif's granddaughter went up in smoke. LOL. But I still say it was their influence that made her into such a monster. Hien and her parents thought they were doing the best thing just as so many of the other psy did. But if Hien had not moved herself and her daughter into the Adelaja compound I don't think Neiza would have ended up on the Council. Still it was a nice twist to a long ago character who has often been mentioned but we knew little about.

So if Kaleb gave Nina R the money to open the club was it Sahara's idea or is there more to this situation? I know, wait and see. I still need the answer as to who Kaleb had in mind to replace Silver as his main aide back in Silver Silence.

I feel like we got more clues about how they will eventually fix the PsyNet, but still unsure how exactly it will work. Not entirely sold that Pax will be the main character of the next book. I can see if he is, but can also see his book (if he gets one) being later.

I tried (and mostly succeeded) to take my time and savor it the first time through. Now to reread!

I agree with this. For now, I can see Pax being built up like the Ghost. Personally, I wouldn't mind that. I like him, and moreover, I don't want Theo to suffer for losing her twin. Pax is a good one.

Pax is middle-of-the-road for me. I don't dislike him, but he's no Kaleb LOL. I am glad we got to see him from Theo's POV and learn more about them both.

I no longer suspect Pax of any involvement in Naya's kidnapping but that whole situation needs to be cleared up. I know it has only been just over a year in book time. But it has been 8 years for us.

I would like a short story or mentioning the books of Kaleb despite himself being drawn in Annie and Zach’s lives. Their baby shared his name, have him some how spending time with the family and the baby being used to him and regarding Kaleb as an uncle.

@Anon
Did you read the short story Rowan? It is available on the website under Psy/Changeling Free Stories.

This book pushes and pulls the emotions. We knew Marshall Hyde was a nasty Councilor, but we didn't know how bad he was until this book. When Kaleb told Sahara he was the one who assassinated Marshal Hyde because Hyde basically endorsed Santano's abuse of Kaleb, I thought that was a moment. No one in the Marshall clan knows who killed Hyde. I think Theo would hug (or try to) Kaleb if she knew he was the one who did it.

Pavel and Arwen...sigh! I'm skimming/re-reading Silver Silence, and read the part when Pavel first sees Arwen. Death stare indeed! Arwen just needed a moment to realize that he does have power besides being an E.

Pax Marshall...that one is going to be interesting to read. He suffered his own abuse at the hands of his grandfather. It may not have been bad as what Theo went through, but still had to do what his grandfather told him to do. Right now, only Theo knows to some extent what he went through. I wonder about his Scarab Syndrome. I agree with Yakov that if it wasn't for Theo's bond with Pax, Pax would be worse off. I wonder if that had to do with being separated from Theo at a young age or if it is something else?

Could the Scarab Syndrome be the dark side of the PsyNet trying to say something to the Psy population? It will be interesting to read more of this series.

With everything in the PsyNet being crazy, this could be the time for Ming to go away. We haven't read a lot of him lately. He's just as bad as Marshall Hyde (in my opinion). What he did to Katya...that was bad. Possibly time for some sneaky wolf and other attacks just like they did with Santano Enrique?

I wish the attempt kidnapping of Naya would be addressed again, but since Pax is alive and breathing, I consider Lucas has agreed he was set up. Not to mention what Nikita would've done to him if she suspected he'd known or plotted it. LOL

I agree Pax isn't Kaleb. I like that. Kaleb was on a quest to avenge his lost love and, maybe, hopefully, save the Net (he was ready to sacrifice everyone above a certain age), whereas Pax seems to be walking towards saving everyone, many of whom were victims of Silence. As it was, I see Kaleb saving the Net when it needed saving, and Pax leading the ones with the emotional psychic scars.

@library addict: "But I still say it was their influence that made her into such a monster." More info please. Thank you so much in advance.

Where/in which book could I find out that Neiza had turned out into a monster? I Dislike Hien's decision but she didn't deserve to be betrayed by what her daughter had become. Did Neiza procreate? Had more monsters? Just made me sick ~ thinking about Déwei's heartache.

I'm crazy in love with Pax & Theo's LOVE for each other. Love Yakov & Theo💖 Love every scene Kaleb shows up or just seeing his name 💖

Super happy with the villain ~ the serial killer ~ more fun to read than about other lvicious villains ~ like ~ the Architect ~ the dead Councilors ~ etc.

Love Love Love when Yakov & Theo's mating bond snapped in place. & Yes ~ Arwen & Pavel's too 💖

Absolutely another Super Gorgeous Book in the series💖

@AlwaysV

We know that Neiza was one of the Councilors in the first group of Councilors made up entirely of psy who grew up in Silence. She was the project manager for the development of Jax and decided once it got on the street to simply monitor the addicts to see what "uncalibrated usage" did to them.

(see epigraphs in Last Guard ch 9 as well as Storm Echo chapters 17 and 29).

She is also the one who first mentioned they needed to do something about the Psy who were failing to reach their Silence goals which eventually led to the creation of the Centers (Resonance Surge chapter 5).

We also know from other comments in the books that that "first generation" Council did a lot of other terrible things. So not solely responsible of all of this but a powerful Councilor who was at the forefront of all these issues.

This Council were also the ones who tried to ban Christmas as mentioned in Beat of Temptation.

Loved that we got to see Pasha & Arwen mate in addition to Theo & Yasha.

Also, now that we know Koala changelings exist, can we have Tasmanian Devils, too? They would be such characters, always brawling and arguing. Small and (kind of) cute, but fierce.

Absolutely loved the book. I mean BEARS!! there isn't much to say after that. I have to say I chuckled every time there was an earth tremor or they discussed them, as I will always love Kaleb and Sahara. Thank you for writing another amazing story that takes me out of my world for a little while. :)
